I am sure as heck going to stay out of anything to do with politics from now on!

I for one am all for asking the questions, and it's hard to be thorough sometimes. Don't let this discourage you from asking the unpopular questions! I'm sorry some of us incorrectly assumed your agenda. There are people propagated a radical point of view in an uninformed way using large mediums like this forum. One in a hundred of these radical views turns out to be right! So you really are doing the right thing overall as far as I'm concerned and I hope you don't stop.

Did Obama ever travel to another country before becoming president ?

don't you need a paswsport to do that ?
don't you need proof of citizenship (a birth certificate or a certificate of live birth) to get a paswsport ?

do you actually believe that the CIA, FBI, NSA and Secret Sevice don't investigate and run security clearance checks on ALL candidates for president ?

do you honestly believe that all these agencies are so incompetent that they missed the fact that he's not a citizen ?

Republican Governor Linda Lingle has confirmed that the President was born in a Hawaiian hospital. She's signed legislation to halt the constant requests for a copy of his birth certificate.

    Done. Go home, you racists.

Perhaps, you are not prejudiced against President Obama's race. FMU (Florida Memorial University) is one of the historically black colleges in Florida. Perhaps, you are simply ignorant. I have to add that your original position on this issue has nothing to do with the school that you attended because I have seen a Harvard graduate who argues like an ignoramus. (Note that a racist can be a member of any race).

So even after I say I am wrong, I still get called names, insulted and race still appears to be an issue. This makes me wonder why so many people try to bring race into this. The last two posters need to back off the race issue. Unless you have ever come into work and had the work Nigger written on your patrol locker shut up about race, or you have went ask a Caucasian female out and only to have your ass kicked by her friends for being black…shut up about it.

Speaking of IGNORANT.....Ike. look it up. I think the definition has your name in it. And that goes for anyone else who wants to call people names for asking a question on an education board. I won't bother to post multiple quotes of all of the offensive writing.

b4cz28. good job. You did a good thing to ask a question.

I personally think it is hilarious to see all you supposedly "educated" people get all up in arms, call strangers names, insult their education, their person, get insulted yourselves over a simple question about a man you don't even freakin know. Funny stuff. It's brilliant actually. (this is the part where you call me a racist, an idiot, a really bad name like a republican, or maybe a birther and prove once again how educated you are.)

Here is the big thing about the brithers. You know how much planing and deal making they would have had to do when he was a BABY . I mean they had to have planned for him to be a president I birth . A two people people hatched this master plan.

Sorry, Chip... Those two documents are not identical legal instruments, even if they are accepted as equivalent. One is signed by the attending physician, nurse, or midwife; the other is computer generated for people who don't have or don't wish to show the "actual" birth certificate. As to why President Obama won't show his "actual" birth certificate, we may never know...

yes, they are identical legal documents

if you request a copy of your birth certificate from hawaii, you're actually requesting a copy of the certification of live birth
"the State Department of Health (DOH) no longer issues Certificates of Live Birth. When a request is made for a copy of a birth certificate, the DOH issues a Certification of Live Birth."

he was born in hawaii, he is a natural born citizen, he is eligible to be president and the CIA, FBI and NSA are not as incompetent as people think

I'm just saying that if the price of going into politics is having a bunch of conspiracy theorists looking for your birth certificate, the price (in terms of invasion of privacy) is too damn high.

No, they are different legal documents that are accepted as equivalent for most applications. The birth certificate has signatures of the attending physician, nurse, or midwife. Once you father children, you will understand the difference between the two documents: that is where you put the child's name.

The certification of live birth does not have the "medical" signatures; because it is just an electronically generated document. I presume that if President Obama could show his birth certificate, he would; why he won't show his birth certificate is a mystery.
