nibm global Hi!! I would suggest you to work along your studies. It will help you to understand your area of interest and thereby cost will also be minimum. An mba from nibm global is the best without any doubt. This will help in reaching higher positions faster.
"Johann der Wikimeister" at your service (yet again) Ted. It's the National Institute of Business Management in Chennai, India. It has an affiliation with the School of Distance Education at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu). It is permitted by the Uni to teach quite a few distance programs, including MBA's of several stripes. Bharathiar U. is a "real" school - UGC recognized since 1985. NIBM sounds like it'd be OK, but --well -- it wouldn't be my first choice. Then again, they price a one-year MBA at $125.97 US. (7500 Rupees). Yes - a hundred and twenty-five bucks. So how much can you lose? I'm not sure if that price applies to foreigners, or even if any would be accepted. Hey, you don't need a third MBA! NIBM Global is here: www.nibm.global.com Here's a wiki on Bharathiar U. Bharathiar University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Here's Bharathiar U itself: Welcome to the official website of Bharathiar University Here's NIBM Global's documentation, purportedly from Bharathiar NIBM Online MBA | About NIBM That about enough? Johann
One thing I did NOT like about the NIBM Global site: "NIBM is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Educational Institution"... Mention of ISO Certification by a distance school is (usually) a guarantee of a "Titelmühle" - Degree Mill. Dr. Bear's anecdote that you can get ISO certification for cement life-vests, if you write the specs and adhere to them, comes to mind. Also - I read the NIBM-Bharathiar agreement. I didn't see any part that says NIBM Courses = Bharathiar degree, just that they and any third-party centres were allowed to teach the courses. Put your credit card away, for now! Certainly, this school doesn't belong in a "Best MBA" thread. Do we have a "Worst MBA" thread? I know some dandy candidates! Johann der Wikimeister
I think this might be another of those pesky "Study centres." You take NIBM courses and write Bharathiar exams, maybe. And if NIBM does a poor prep-job, few students will pass the Bharathiar exams. Our wise Indian correspondent, Msganti, has advised us to stay away from "study centres." I've revised my decision. I think we should just stay away from NIBM - or any other "ISO-certified" school - whether it's a "study centre" or not. Johann "The journey to a Ph.D. starts with a single CLEP"
The choice of MBA depends on what your career goals are, the value of the investment in time and money, and matching the right prorgam to that. The name schools for example probably great if you wish to be a consultant or enter investment banking, but beyond that in terms of actual knowledge gained vs cost ,may not be suitable for most business positions. Having managed MBA's my own experience is few businesses spend much time looking at what type of accreditation, though I realize on this board or in academia it is an issue. The best progams are those that offer specific knowledge allied to the industry you seek to enter, and taught by professors who have real-world and on-going experience. DBA degrees are really for the academic world, whenever I see on a resume I hesitate to interview the person. I have both MBA and MA ( History) degree, certainly the MBA degree a lot easier to get in my opinion.
The best mba institute is categorized by when it is accredited and the costs these would be the important considerations while choosing an mba program. Nibm is the most reputed online mba institute in our country. it is accredited by IAO and AIMA repectively, The cost is very low and affordable by the programme. This would be one of the best factors why students prefer nibm for mba.
I think this could be true, especially if someone has stronger writing skills and weaker analytical skills. It's all a matter of where your strengths lie. I don't think I'd fare as well in a program whose predominant method of grading was based on writing research papers outside of business writing.
Cleveland State University Cleveland State University | Engaged Learning now offers an online MBA. (AACSB accredited)
I just returned from ACBSP's Annual International Conference in Brussels, Belgium. They have expanded the concept beyond Region 8, and there was quite a good turnout; about 120 people attended including many from the US schools. Two universities mentioned by Ted were there... Tiffin University and the University of Findlay each had representatives of their business school on hand, and both seem to be quality organizations.
Hello, Would any of you have suggestions for the best MBA's in Switzerland? (ideally more "marketing oriented" than finance). I was looking into IMD, Webster University and European University. Does this seem about right? Any feedback is welcome! Thank you so much A.
