I don't know about you... but it makes sense to me in a lot of ways to get a business degree from a for-profit school.

Oxford's program is not really a distance program. The course has 17 week long modules in as many months that must be completed on campus.

I would highly recommend Salem International Univeristy for your MBA - you'd take 1 class per month and graduate in just 12 months and you can complete the course work on-line or take classes on campus. Great instructors and everyone is always happy to help!

Although she has an unlimited budge, choosing the school based on cost and reputation alone isn't the best decision-making process. Make sure she takes into consideration what she wants to focus in (finance, leadership, management, etc.), geographic location, size, or other factors that distinguish colleges.

The MBA is not a French tradition, and has long been considered a lesser degree than pre-experience Master's degrees. This is changing rapidly however, with the internationalisation of study programs and competition among the world's best business schools.. MBA is future, degree value was the market in said for business and higher post of job.

I am aware of an MBA program that does not require the GMAT. It is accredited and fairly affordable, especially for distance learning: Columbia College MBA

The cost per credit hour I believe is $335. To me, this seems like a great option for those who don't want to hassle with the GMAT or have a ton of work experience.

You should open up another thread on this, or better yet, PM someone.

Anyway. . . how about Excelsior College for a NY-based MBA?

Unfortunately, Yorktown's DETC accreditation just got abolished. Let's hope and pray that they might make a comeback.

Has she decided to do MBA in Dubai? Your suggestion of doing MBA from Harvard or any other reputed university in overseas countries is good. There are many institutes which deserve praise in India as well. IIMs, IITs, MDI, SPJAIN are some of the big names. CAT and XAT are the entrance tests which allow you to book a seat in top ranked MBA colleges in India.

I've been enrolled in FGCU's online MBA program on a part-time basis since 2009. Just a little insider tip -- the only MBA specialization that you can bank on earning online is the interdisciplinary one. While I managed to get the coursework needed for a Marketing specialization, the offering of MBA electives (which determine your specialization) online are few and far in between. So unless you want to spend 5-7 years getting your degree; don't count on being able to earn the other specializations online.
