Here is some helpful information for people who are looking into MBA programs. Bloomberg Businessweek updates their MBA programs on a yearly basis and just released 2012 rankings last week (11/15/12): Business Schools Rankings - Businessweek . Keep in mind each school has their specialties, so regardless of rank, it is also important to research how your school in question matches up to your specific program as well. For example the top 5 school's specialities are:
    Booth: Theoretical Finance
    Harvard: Corp. Leadership
    Stanford: Entrepreneurial Leadership
    Wharton: Directly Applicable Finance
    Kellogg: Advertising

If you are planning MBA through distance learning then KSOU can be a very good option. It is UGC and DEC recognized, valid for private and government jobs. You can visit ksoucollege.com or bestcollegeindia.com for more details. MBA will be 4 sem course and the approx fees will be Rs. 15,000 per sem. Excel college of higher education is also good institute. Currently it has special offers like dual certification.

    To Karnataka State Open University

I don't know anything about To Karnataka State Open University but I would be generally cautious about Indian universities. While some, like Indian Institutes of Technology, are world-class, many others are notorious for their corrupt practices.

When I was in London earning an LLM, many students in the program were Indian. I asked why and they explained that because of corruption there is often suspicion that an Indian degree was not legitimately earned. Getting a London LLM indicates that one is, in fact, educated.

You are right, here is a youtube link that shows how exams are conducted. Everybody brings in books/laptops and cellphones and cheat.

JAN 10C TV9 FAIL AGODE ILLA FULL - YouTube

JAN 10B TV9 MASS COPYING IN MBA EXAM CAIGHT IN BANGALORE GANGAM HOMBEGOWDA COLLEGE - YouTube

I would never hire somebody from India with higher degrees, its all obtained using corrupt practices.

    Indian universities

I would not go this far. As I stated Indian Institutes of Technology is a world-class university. I don't know enough about Indian universities to mention others but I'm sure there are others that are also very good.

As everyone knows, Indian computer programmers are among the best in the world. And where would the US, Canada, and the UK be without India-trained medical doctors?

But, I would be very cautious about a little-known Indian distance degree.

The main reason to attend school is to increase your salary potential and advance your career. Because graduates who hold an MBA degree are eligible for jobs that would not be offered to those who hold only a high school diploma, an MBA degree is almost a necessity in today’s business world.
