A fine post that in a nut shell catches your apparent tendency for ad hominum, faulty logic, and falsehood.

You were confused between the difference of education and a degree in your own arguments. When this is pointed out to you, you then make ridiculous accusations against others. I haven't seen anyone say that they are more interested in the degree than the quality of education, except perhaps you because that is what you indirectly argue.

That's true. I think the quality of CCU degrees is every bit as good now as before they were accredited.

Except the ones they had to drop, of course. And of the ones that remained, Michael Lambert of DETC tells me CCU mad substantial changes per DETC's request--and were quite willing to do so. He typified CCU's participation in the accreditation process as professional and extremely open.

Sounds to me like the education at CCU is better now.

Thanks, Tom. Again, someone who can be honest and admit that you be an unaccredited school and still provide a good education. Some people find that concept very difficult to accept.

Trying to cover all the bases, Bill? At least your insults are less obnoxious than Rich's.

By the way, "ad hominum" is spelled ad hominem. If you are going to insult me at least spell it correctly. Thanks!

    Tu quoque Filii !

    My dear Russ!

Welcome to the land of pseudo-academic ayatollahs, intellectual terrorists and very pretentious people full of themselves. Some of them may add some racism in their comments like "Ham".

Do not worry; I get the same kind of insults by those Alan Contreras fanatics.

They ask for my Degrees, I gave to them then they said I was lying.

I was, like you, trying to separate the facts from rhetoric

I am a women TA, Ph.D. candidate at a "big ten" University, MA from the #1 language College, Bachelor degree with Honors at the #1 or 2 public universities in the US but they did not care.

Some "Senior" members prefer personal insults to intellectual discussion. They should not be proud of their attitude.

Those poor minds cannot see that the KWU settlement was a retreat for ODA. I imagine that even the State of Oregon and its Attorney general start to be embarrassed by this "Don Quixote" attitude.

"E pericoloso Sporghersi!" Be careful, ross they are mean... but one day, the light of truth may strike them...

    Umm Russ

It would REALLY help if you would actually read what people WRITE! For one, Tom isn't necessarily saying they are good just that they are roughly the SAME as before. Second, I think everyone who has posted in this thread would agree there are SOME good/legitimate unaccredited schools. Now you are advocating that unaccredited schools be assumed to be legitimate when the vast majority of such schools are frauds. If you want to live in that kind of fantasy world feel free. Don't be surprised when others want to be more accurate!

But isn't that the point of an insult?:D

When are you going to address the questions you've been asked, not to mention the responses you've received regarding your weird proposals?

Really? Who? Who has said that? Now, unlike all of your strange and unsupportable notions about fake schools, this one should be easy to support. Please provide a quote and source where someone participating in this thread said that students can't get a "good education" at unaccredited schools. Can you do even that simple thing?

And by the way, if you're going to be insulting to everyone, you only need to submit your post once. Or don't you know how to delete your extra posts?

    Re: Tu quoque Filii !

Great! What is your name and which university do you attend?

By the way, a "woman" might know the singular use of that noun. And a college graduate (in language, no less!) might know that the degree is a "Bachelor's degree" not "Bachelor degree." That person might also understand punctuation usage.

Now, I normally think it is futile and irrelevant to harp on typos and the like--I make my share of them, certainly. But when an anonymous poster claims to be highly educated in language, yet doesn't construct his/her sentences effectively, it gives one cause to wonder. Oh, and if "woman" is too difficult, one might switch to "womyn." I think that serves as both singular and plural.

Actually, some of us do care and we much prefer intellectual discussion to personal insults. Please provide the "light of truth" regarding your credentials.

Fortunately, you have left some clues to start and you can fill in the gaps with good intellectual discussion:

    1. "PhD cadidate at a 'big ten' University": The Big Ten includes the following institutions: U. of Illinois-Urbana, Indiana U., U. of Iowa, U. of Michigan, Michigan State, U. of Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue or U. of Wisonsin-Madison. All of these are excellent schools and someone can be proud to be a PhD candidate at any of them. At which one are you a PhD candidate?

    2. "MA from the #1 language College": This is harder to discern. which college is it and who ranked it #!?

    3. "Bachelor degree with Honors at the #1 or 2 public universities in the US". some of the candidates for this honor would be U.C. Berkeley, U.C.L.A., U. of Virginia, U. of Michigan, U. of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, or a couple of candidates from the Big Ten list above.

Since you have brought up the subject of your degrees, I am certain that your next post will continue in the spirit of "intellectual discussion", rather than "personal attacks" (such as "they are mean". Please provide the information so that we can "separate the facts from rhetoric".

    Thanks much,

    To the local Investigative DA

Frankly, I do not like to be interrogated by you guys !

However, Mr. Pina is quite right for the "Big Ten". I am in one of them! LOL!

For the language school, Senor Pina "not too colada" What about a choice among Monterrey, Middlebury or Arizona State ?

I will be a little more precise for the Bachelor's degree (double major plus one minor). My Alma Mater is ranked #1 (5 stars) in a book on Honours (or honors) program.

Anyway, without being arrogant, I was in much better schools than your very regional university.

I notice that you mentioned your position at your super-community college but "forget" to mention your degrees. Being 25 (I dream to beat Dr. Rice), I think that I have attained already an academic level that allows me to express my opinion, without being systematically trashed.

But it is not relevant as you and I have no rights to ask anything about any credentials.

I confess that I am afraid by this horrible vendetta/djihad of some of the ayatollahs of this forum.

Now let go to substance! :) Do you think that the KWU "settlement" was a victory for ODA?

For me, when a Goliath State retreats, the David KWU wins !

The DA Syndrom is everywhere. Rich Douglas asks for my universities but does not mention his background. Frankly who cares ? He made typos also but mines are the proof that I am a fake, a spy, a KWU-KGB employee.

I am quite sure you did not go to Church yesterday as respect, tolerance, and understanding of others are revered there !

Just think, that you may not always right all the time. !

    Ma'am,

Do you actually have anything useful to say on this topic or are you just prattling on to practice your bad English?

    Please, get to the point.
