This is amusing, terrifying, strange and true all at the same time.

The counterpoint would be that if she came out of the Democratic convention as their nominee, no one would have to Google her.

Yes, that's true. I think she could win in November, too.

Harris can slide into Biden's chair after they win in November and he surrenders the seat to her during his term. Anyone else at this point would reinforce the idea that Democrats don't know how to accept a win when they have it almost locked up, won't support their own good candidates, are too wishy-washy to rely on in a crisis, and are hypocrites (when it comes to diversity: discrimination against people over age 60).

The writing was on the wall, many choose to ignore it.
Now Dems appear to be in panic.
    I'm bad in predicting outcomes.
Just this is not healthy for our country.

Hard to imagine Harris. She isn't that articulate nor has she demonstrated a level of competence to be President.

Biden at a minimum needs to be replaced and preferably both of them with someone competent and ready for Prime Time.

Over 60? I am not sure anyone considers 60 old and both parties are filled with people much older.

Apparently Trump (according to post debate polls) is gaining ground among younger voters. Still must get them to the polls.

Id take a lemur over either of them. Both of them are inadequate and unfit for office.

I am a registered republican in Oklahoma mainly because that allows me to vote. For instance, our county sheriff election just occurred and the only people who could vote were republicans…no independents or democrats.

I’d probably lean more independent. I think republicans and democrats are all “evil”. Both side would rather their party have a dictatorship instead of being grown adults and working together.

The chorus grows louder. D-TX Lloyd Doggett says it's time. James Carville has been saying so for months. Turns out he is right.

If Trump prays to anyone but himself, he should pray that Biden stays.

I'm not so sure about making drastic changes based on polls, especially since I didn't see big movement in the polls I looked at after the debate. Polling is not as accurate as it used to be because of cell phones.

According to Ipsos, Michelle Obama is the only hypothetical candidate who would win in a landslide. Harris vs Trump would be neck and neck, and everyone else would lose badly to Trump. Concerning campaign funds, Harris is the only person who can use them. They can't be transferred to another candidate.

"President Joe Biden is trailing behind Donald Trump in the 2024 race, including by nearly 15 points among younger voters, according to a leading pollster.

A survey from AtlasIntel, which was named the most accurate polling group of the 2020 presidential election by 538, found that Trump has a five-point lead over Biden (45.5 percent to 40.3) with just over four months to go until November's rematch between the pair."

It isn't just the polls. It's what we're seeing.

Could the funds be used if Kamala Harris was the vice presidential candidate with a presidential running mate other than Biden?

    • Some Democrats working for Joe Biden believe he would only step aside if given a "dignified" exit.

    • Biden is facing pressure to drop out of the race after his disastrous debate performance.

    • The New York Times reported that Biden's family is urging him to continue his campaign.
The sources told the Times that Biden is a proud man, but stepping aside is not out of the question, though they estimated the odds of him trying to stay in the race were still 4 or 5 to 1.
    • However, according to a source familiar with the conversations, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, they believe he is still capable of serving another four years and will maintain a united front.

Democrats need to lower their ethical standards a little. Republicans do not care that Donald Trump is an unhinged rapist with 34 felony convictions who also lied about a virus that killed a million Americans.

I don't know much about campaign finance laws, but apparently, the vice presidential candidate could use the money if the presidential candidate were to drop out. But, she would only be able to do that as the presidential candidate; they couldn't keep her as the vice presidential candidate and select someone else to run at the top of the ticket.

Harris is the obvious choice anyway. Bad spot for her, though. She can't say anything.
