The bizarre pretense that ChatGPT is far more than it really is, part 3,794.

Did they really need to write an article on Mark Cuban playing around with ChatGPT?

But, at least ChatGPT is smart enough to know that Trump is a pathological liar.

Well, since Al Gore invented Internet we know that one has to be a little more intelligent in order to understand what really is behind the words, and Politicians statements that are taken out of content, Mr Gore never made the statement, what the politician meant to communicate in an interview was taken out of content.
The rule applies to many other politicians.
Paroting what hostile media is trying to create and damage is a well known tactic.

Biden’s symptoms on display during the debate were a medical textbook of common findings for a geriatric population — delayed response time, difficulty finding words, and so on.
Combine that with little sleep and a viral illness or a cold, anyone over the age of 40 would likely suffer similar symptoms like hoarse voice, slowed reaction time and confusion.
Age is inescapable. It comes for all of us, if we’re lucky.
For those who are not experiencing symptoms of advanced aging themselves, they’re almost surely impacted by an acquaintance or family member who is.

I’d vote for a potato before I’d vote for Trump or anyone he endorses.

when I have a headache, I can’t think straight. I talk slower, I move slower, and I can’t always find my words. Mid sentence, my mind might trail off to thoughts about how my head is throbbing and what time did I last take some Advil because maybe I should take some more. So, with that in mind, I can totally accept that a cold or lack of sleep could impact someone over 80 in similar ways.

This is all true. Here's my point of view.

I think Biden has been a great President and I think he would be a great President in his next term. Trump scares the hell out of me. He was a horrible President and would be way worse in a second term. The convicted criminal must be stopped from regaining the Oval Office. I think too many folks (like my wife for example) won't vote for Biden because of his age. Therefore, in the interest of having the best chance to defeat felon Trump, I'd like to see Biden bow out and give Kamala Harris the reins.

Biden has likely not been President during his first term let alone any second terms. He is carefully managed and even at that it is obvious he is in severe cognitive decline. What worries me is not his belief he is up to the task but people (politicians) who are self deluded or lying that there is nothing to see all is well.

Thursday he rambled through a press conference on the White House lawn. It was sad and gave an interview where he identified himself as a Black Woman. Foreign press had a field day. If it would have been Trump NPR would have done a lead story.

People voted for FDR for a fourth term knowing that he was sickly, and his Republican opponent was sane and popular. Voters trusted Truman to take over.

FDR was a president in the days before television during wartime whose health problems had been concealed by the media for decades. And even he didn't plan on Truman taking over, he infamously kept Truman out of the loop, leaving Truman to have to come up to speed as quickly as possible once he became president.

No matter who the Democrats put at the top of the ticket, most Republicans are voting for Trump even if they have to hold their nose while voting. In the same vein, engaged Democratic voters will vote to defeat Trump even if it meant voting for a turd. Swing voters, independent voters, and occasional voting Democrats is the group that my post was meaning to address.

That's sort of true...FDR didn't help Truman much during the latter's three and a half months as Vice President but FDR certainly chose Truman with his own mortality in mind.

I'm listening to an interview of a writer who spent time with the vice president. She and other journalists who've spent time with Harris have come to similar conclusions.

    1. Biden did not expect to run for a second term, but he realized that Harris was unpopular.

    2. Harris is not good at communicating the big picture. She excels in addressing specifics. When she was asked about the art in her home, she talked about who the artist was and gave details about the artist. She did not talk about how the art made her feel. Her focus on numbers and other facts worked when she was running for attorney general, but it does not work when running for governor or president.

    3. Her tough on crime reputation was no longer an asset after the Black Lives Matter movement.

    4. Kamala is more of a moderate, and she comes across as inauthentic when communicating the Democratic Party's current progressive stances.

    5. Some have speculated that, while Biden publicly stated that he wanted to be a bridge to the next generation of Democratic leaders, he secretly did not want a strong vice president who would elicit calls for him to step aside. As we can see, if that was the plan, it didn't work. Reportedly, Biden did not do a lot to build up Harris' profile.

A radio host who interviewed Biden leaves the station after admitting campaign aides gave her pre-selected questions.

"Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders has resigned from WURD Radio after admitting her post-debate interview with President Joe Biden included questions that were pre-selected by Biden’s campaign team, the station told CNN Sunday.
    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/radio-host-interviewed-biden-leaves-213440913.html
“The interview featured pre-determined questions provided by the White House, which violates our practice of remaining an independent media outlet accountable to our listeners,” Sara Lomax, president and CEO of the Philadelphia-based station, announced in a statement posted Sunday on its website. “As a result, Ms. Lawful-Sanders and WURD Radio have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately.”"

“It’s not at all an uncommon practice for interviewees to share topics they would prefer. These questions were relevant to the news of the day — the president was asked about this debate performance as well as what he’d delivered for black Americans,” spokesperson Lauren Hitt said in a statement.

Interview purpose was damage control in the first place.

On another site I read the following, don't know if this is accurate:
    Detro-Randy writes:
"When she was under scrutiny as a presidential candidate I remember reading about when she was DA prosecutor in California, and she imprisoned dozens of black men for cannabis possession charges, and for some other heavy offenders refused to allow new DNA testing that would exonerate them.
Then 16 years later, on radio show laughed about how she has smoked weed.

"On “The Breakfast Club,” a New York City–based radio show, California senator and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris admitted. Asked if she’s ever smoked marijuana, Harris said, “I have. And I inhaled. I did inhale.”" In contrast to Clintons saying - “I didn’t like it. I didn’t inhale it, and never tried it again,” in 1992.

A New York Times article from 2018 accused police of framing Kevin Cooper, a Black man sentenced to death for the 1983 killing of four people in Chino Hills, California.
The report said Harris refused to allow new DNA testing when she was attorney general that it suggested could have proved Cooper’s innocence."

"New York Times journalist Nicholas Kristof said Harris phoned him after the article was published and told him, “I feel awful about this.” She also issued a statement calling on authorities to allow the testing."

The whole jailing a bunch of people for marijuana is a lie. A lot of those people were convicted by county DAs, and the state sent few people to prison for marijuana convictions while Harris was the attorney general. Plus, the conviction numbers include defendants who were facing multiple felony charges, not just marijuana charges.

I wasn't a Kamala supporter in 2020, but I hate Tulsi Gabbard even more.

Conviction rate aside, only 45 people were sentenced to state prison for marijuana convictions during Harris’ seven years in office, compared with 135 people during Hallinan’s eight years, according to data from the state corrections department. That only includes individuals whose most serious conviction was for marijuana.

Yes, I was reading an article where someone mentioned that Biden had chosen Kamala Harris because she was mediocre. As someone said above, he didn't want somebody overpowering him. She is not the best communicator either and is logic and gaffe prone. The thought of her being president isn't particularly good.

According to polling, Michelle Obama is the one who can soundly defeat Donald Trump. Then there is the legal theory that former president Barack Obama could be placed in the vice president position and legally then assume a third term once Biden resigns. Whether the Obama's would give up a cushy lifestyle is up for debate. They make millions of dollars a year and travel all over the world like rock stars making their own schedule. I don't see them putting all of their financial stuff in trust and going to work for $400,000 a year and dealing with the considerable pressures of the job.

Thanks to the Democratic party establishment that didn't have the intestinal fortitude to admit Biden's cognitive problems and Democratic party voters we are an embarrassment around the world. It is like a comedy show is being run out of the White House. Thanks to the Republican Party establishment and voters of various stripes who voted for Trump, our next choice is chaos and something scripted out of the WWF.

    Both of their houses suck.

My advice is not to trust any of the politicians who are trying to tell you that there's nothing wrong with Joseph Biden because these people are either fundamentally dishonest or too delusional to be in office. I applaud those Democratic politicians that have come out and said there is a problem. Now fix the darn thing and find a competent president and vice President. President Obama is certainly preferable to both of these guys and then find him a competent vice president. Heck, Oprah Winfrey is preferable to both of those guys.

I think she still has a better chance of beating Trump.

Here's an opinion piece on the subject.

Here's a poll that indicates Harris may be stronger candidate than Biden.
