They hoped they could give here the same reharsal as on the other board.
Basically splitting hairs about exotic delicacies such as:
    * SOLICITOR. In the USA it means someone in the legal field. In Australia it means beggar.
    * MONGREL: it means some half-breed person; in Australia it means a rude person irrespective of his ancestry.
    * In some regions in Italy "fight" (lotta) means a way of agriculture.
    * In Italy finocchio (fennel ) means "faggot" as well, in some regions.
    * Faggot in the Uk means a cigarette.

    etc.
hence they wanted to amaze unsuspecting americans and explain doubts away with the above "double cultural standard" thing.
La rhétorique du ressentiment is only a mean to divert attention from the main point here.

After all, even Liberia confirmed they share common sense accreditation procedures with most other countries.
How misguided their abuse used to be, it's another topic.

I have been lurking on this board for a few weeks and have following the discussion on the VAE. I have no axe to grind about the merits or not of the Robert de Sorbon institution under any of its guises. However, it appears to me that the majority of comments are based on a very US-centric view point of what is valid or not in terms of higher education.

There also seem to be some oft repeated unsubstantiated comments about the validity of the institution, it's location etc. What seems clear to me is that the VAE is a valid and legal method of recognising learning and individual development. What is not so clear is the role that RDS holds. Has anyone contacted the Prefecture under which RDS operates to see what control or evaluation is undertaken to verify RDS's operation?
They claim to have a legally granted certificate or licence, so perhaps that's a reasonable place to start. If it is a bone fide "ecole" then fine, but if it's not then no problem with warning people off.

By the way, a fag is a cigarette in the UK. Possibly originally a diminutive for faggot but people would look at you if you asked for one. You would end up with either a savoury meat ball (actually offal) or a bundle of sticks.

Has anyone contacted the Prefecture under which RDS operates to see what control or evaluation is undertaken to verify RDS's operation?

again the double cultural standard rubbish.
Prefectures are police territorial entity & have no power whatsoever to license, charter & monitor any university.
Hence it'd be useless to contact them.

There is the village of Trimouille i think.
Again, villages or cities have no power whatsoever to establish, direct, charter & supervise any kind of school whatsoever.
Hence it'd be useless to contact them.
I mean i could but i'd get back a reply like: three senegalese opened a pub called Robert de Sorbon; or: three Kamerunians banded a cultural association of islamic nature.
    Who knows & who cares.

    The
ONLY AUTHORITY IN CHARGE OF AUTHORIZING, CHARTERING & MONITORING UNIVERSTIES IS THE MINISTRY IN PARIS.

There also seem to be some oft repeated unsubstantiated comments about the validity of the institution

Well, when it comes to dishing $ out for a degree i must use career wise, i'm sorry but the opinion of the french ministry ( see above ) is much, much, much, much, much more substantiated than the bellyaching of some shills of undisclosed & suprtposed identity.
Bellyaching stemming from the fact they got caught with their pants down trying to con american citizens.
Hey...what did Michal say about RDS being featured in the french govt gazette?

majority of comments are based on a very US-centric view point of what is valid or not in terms of higher education.

Actually it is THE OTHER WAY ROUND.

RDS counted on confusing unsuspecting, gullible americans playing "three cards spread game" alluding to their multiple, private-in-nature accreditation system.
In Europe (Canada, UK etc) there is just NOTHING like that.
I'm not american & that is what this post is all about.

If it is a bone fide "ecole" then fine, but if it's not then no problem with warning people off.

After all the official emails posted, do YOU still have doubts?
    I don't.
RDS might enjoy the capacity of a pedicure or else low end, local vocational school like a stenotyping school.
I'm not sure but anyway who cares...
That'd be a "diploma" i could save for times when toilet paper is absent.

This is completely off-topic, but.......don't ever ask for a packet of "faggots" in the UK!

In the UK, a faggot is a meatball cooked in gravy or an unpleasant nickname for a gay man.

A cigarette is known as a 'fag' - you can imagine the confusion this generates for American visitors...

Thanks again, Ham. I notice that the shill operation is now trying to legitimate itself by asking a few questions on other threads, not to mention the sudden appearance of perfidious Albion. The dumb American strategy and the multiple aliases just aren't working very well.

  6. Evidence Questioning Legitimacy of Encole Superieure Universitaire Robert de Sorbon

I would have learned as of this afternoon that there is a direct relationship between Dr. Jean Prade of AUAP Credential Evaluation Services and the French educational institution operation under the name of the Encole Superieure Universitaire Robert de Sorbon, in my opinion drawing into question their legitimacy. Let me first say that I owe many of the esteemed members of this board an apology for so vigorously trying to defend Sorbon as an institution. Specifically this message goes out to Dr. Bear, Ham, Uncle Janko, Rich Douglas and many others. I sincerely hope you will continue to allow me to post here after revealing my identity and be of benefit from the knowledge you have attained.

I also feel that the truth is eventually revealed to me at sometime, because of my faith in God and his power to protect his people. I am posting an email I received this afternoon from Sorbon regarding whether they would allow me to initially qualify for VAE acceptance at the PhD level, rather that the DEA (Masters) level in which I was initially approved at. Their response is as follows. I believe that I am a fairly competent computer and internet technician, and I found something interesting in their response. Much like this board tracks IP addresses, I allow my email box to show full headers, which shows the originating IP, through the receiving email IP.

I do not wish to sit in judgment, but pay particularly attention to the originating IP in the headers. You be the Judge! It references www.auap.com (207.158.219.73). I will be withdrawing my request for the degree and will be making a request from Pay Pal for a reimbursement of the application fee of $60.00 based on their misrepresentation. I believe Alain Michal had previously stated in this forum that they have no direct relationship to AUAP Credentialing Services.

    Sincerely,

    Reverend Robert Ray Hill
    Ordained Minister

Unfortunately it is now impossible to change the venue I am sorry. We
are not an "a la carte" university. You applied and have been accepted
for a certain level, we can not change it.

there are lots of claims by RDS that went sour:
    * their french accreditation as an university
    * their listing in the french govt gazette
    * their exotic accreditation bonus
    * no consensus over the nationality of the outfit
half of this would be enough to divert wise people from wasting 600$.
Prade (same as Deley ) manages many degree mill outfits, in part or as a whole.
He was clearly associated with a few liberian scams.

To you i just issue a warning: if you're so quick to entrust your future & to fight lost fights only on the ground of some unsubstantiated claims from a cross-posting degree mill operator, i suggest you question your own judgement & your own self-control.
As well, i suggest you learn how to keep on topic.
Diverting attention from the main topic by means of personal attacks, ressentiment or other frivulous, syllogistic tricks may fool the most uneducated & the most headstrong & quick tempered,
Not always & not completely, though.

There are lots of chartered DL institutions.
None will award any degree entirely upon PLAR.
Not for 60, not for 60.000$.
Unless you buy a milled diploma.

Anyways it wasn't about "personal" opinions, but official, legal evidence.

  8. Ham, I never tried to make any personal attacks against you or other members of this board. I kind of felt that there were attacks made on me because I was trying to defend a point until I found out differently. I always try and give someone the benefit of the doubt, in this case Alain Michal and Sorbon. I still find that VAE is a valid process in France. Maybe not with Sorbon.

I think the information I have come across needed to come out. And believe you me, if I found out the truth as I have did here, I would immediately release it. I have formally apologized, and I hope you accept it. I will continue to view the posts here on this board and hopefully make an intelligent decision when I finally seek a graduate degree. I wish you and everyone well and God Bless and Happy Holidays!

    Ray/PHD/other names used

You were blindly accepting what had the look, feel, smell of a degree mill as a legitimate institution. When others pointed this out, you became argumentative and combative.

While giving people and institutions "the benefit of the doubt" may work for you, others are more cautious. VAE isn't anything new. It is usually called PLA in the U.S. What is new and unaccepted at all schools I am familiar with is accepting this for graduate credit.

It is common for schools to require new learning for any graduate degree. While I am open to new ideas and institutions, if something doesn't smell right, I am likely to be suspicous.

  10. Dave Hayden,

It was the way many people pointed it out! I think anyone will defend themselves if pushed into a corner.

So why do you keep doing what you "have did", as you put it, and continue to post under different aliases--a violation of the TOS, by the way? It is very hard to take someone seriously who does this. It is what shills do all the time. You should stop it.

OK - no one is blaming Ray and the smokescreen system worked very well on people who wanted to believe in it!

All of my correspondence initially came from Alain, and then when I queried him and he abused me, I wrote to Prade and he also abused me.

    1. Prade's and Alain's messages bore the identical headers.

    2. Prade banked the money I sent and refunded it thorugh his business account, nothing to do with RSU.

    3. Prade also owned the web site.

    4. Prade also did the authentication for being equal to US RA degrees.

    5. And finally a linguist read the Alains English and felt that the grammer/style was fabicated and inconsistent. From that point on I felt that maybe Alain does not exist ... or he is an American not Frenchman in France.

How many inconistencies does one need? How many times does my dog have to bite you on the leg before I accpet that he bites people on the leg?

I have also wondered if our 'favourite Florida DE specialist of previous fame' is involved? ... she was the accreditor of SRU ....?

  13. Uncle Janko,

I I can do is humbly apologize and say I am sorry. I think the information I have posted here to clarify what you have been wanting proof of all along would be sufficient. Let's please go!

He has stopped it - he has had the balls to apologise ... so give him a break, or is it an 'eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' ?

Hey Ray, yank out a tooth and send it to Uncle :)

Ray - you are forgiven, so be at peace.

  15. Dear Mr. French,

Thanks for defending me. I an truely looking for an accredited degree, either RA or DETC now. I would send a tooth, but they are getting pretty scarce, just like my hair.

P.S. I appreciate your posting the email from EDS/AUAP Ray/PHD. As far as I am concerned forgive and forget, but don't promote any other degree mills! :)

    salvation by works

If you want absolution from me, come to my church.

If our poster's future track record shows a clean slate, well and good. So far, however, he has not come clean about the different aliases, only for being belligerent in defense of the Sorbon outfit. He has made no reference to the nasty stuff posted about this forum and its participants on aed and Mr Crabb's forum.

When he makes a clean breast of it both there and here, then I'll take his newfound contrition seriously. When his track record here becomes constructive (as has happened spectacularly in another transformed-poster case) I will happily engage him in debate and encourage him in any way I can.

In the mean time, so far as his interior disposition goes, I do hope that he has gotten his folie de grandeur about honorary degrees and Anjouanais coconut juice out of his system, and am quite prepared to trust his assurances that he has.
I wish him well, and will wait with gimlet Carpathian eye to see how interior disposition shows itself in exterior discourse.

    Re: salvation by works

Do you now feel better Uncle?

I accept what people say - learned to a long time ago, and I also give people another chance as people have given me. I was bought up in a harsh fundamentalist, unforgiving, exacting, religion that expected retribution for everything not following the straight line.

I now call that religion a cult because of this.

I also will forgive you Uncle :)

This is just for logic purposes:
1 Ray/software/Phd erc etc were never attacked personally. They were shown what looked like evidence against the chartered status of RDS. Hence they threw whatever came handy to the "opponents", which abides herr Schopenhauer's hinweise " if you feel like you're loosing a verbal battle, become personal & insulting ".
2 I suspect there is more there than the newly found "truth" Prade=Michal.
Elsewhere Ray would frown at the mention Prade had been tied to exotic degree mills, and list his awesome credentials.
Now just the odd fact he has ( or may have) a pen name spoils all these trustworthy credentials...

Everything moves in circles and ultimately returns to its point of origin.

The very first post in this slowly turning thread revealed that UFRdS's website was registered to Dr. Prade.

    Look how far we've come.
