There are, but universities in the U.S. vary tremendously in quality and other attributes. Even if it makes sense for a person to discount all options in other countries, one should be very discerning on which American institutions they consider.
Hey All! Could anyone recommend a USA MBA which would be the most beneficial for someone working in the Oil and Gas industry? GPA 3.33, Undergraduate Bach Commerce (Management and Finance Majors). I'm from Australia and looking to study in the US essentially living there but I work full time but my employer has me available to be on campus 9 out of every 12 weeks. Is it a requirement at the Ivy Leagues to be on campus for ALL classes or can you get away with skipping a few weeks of a semester here and there? Thanks!
Oil and Gas MBA I would think that MBA schools in oil and gas producing states would have such concentrations. Oklahoma, Wyoming and Texas and UC Berkley have "energy management". It's also common at UK universities. I did not attend an Ivy League university nut I did post-graduate work at Oxford and UCl and attendence was strictly enforced. Most MBAs are done with case studies that do not lend themselves to missing a "few weeks" at a time.
US Program: University of Tulsa - Online Master of Energy Business If a non-US program will work, the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India) offers an Online MBA in Oil & Gas Management
You say: "Is it a requirement at the Ivy Leagues to be on campus for ALL classes or can you get away with skipping a few weeks of a semester here and there?" It's a common belief among foreignors that US universiteis are not academically rigorous and the standards are low. Hence, perhaps this odd query. Unlike most countries US universities vary greatly in quality, from the best in the world to dreadful. Certainly at no quality US university could one take weeks off at a time. What the result would be at the lowest quality universities would be, I cannot say.
I am not sure whether I already posted this or not. I tried to find it but couldn't. If this was already posted, my apologies for the duplication. From the Great State of Arkansas, Ecclesia College www.ecollege.edu offers a Christian Executive MBA. Ecclesia College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
Texas Southern University Texas Southern University offers an Online Executive MBA in Energy Finance.
The WORST MBA degree Maybe we should have a thread for the WORST MBA degree. Really, "Ecclesia College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education."
Well, I suppose there might be some demand for it, though their niche market is probably relatively small.
It's not an MBA, it's a Master of Christian Leadership degree: https://ecollege.edu/degrees-offer/ I'd think an awful lot of people are interested in Christian higher education.
They used to offer the Bachelor of Christian Leadership, the Master of Christian Leadership, and the Christian Executive MBA. Apparently, the Christian Executive MBA has been abolished.
If money is no issue means I ill go for the top university like henley and UK universities..Because the univ in UK has international standards ..Better you go for that..All the best for your carrier...
Duke is a good option. One of my relatives completed his MBA from Duke's University and got placed in a very good company.
From the Duke website: http://www.fuqua.duke.edu/programs/duke_mba/global-executive/ : Costs: Tuition, fees, supplies: 158,000 USD... From me: YEOW! School has a solid gold reputation. Obviously, it can afford solid gold! J.
I think Imperial College London's Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) is the best in term of one the top 20 MBA's in the world, and the cheapest one out there with $50,000.00 (Depends on the exchange rate). TOP MBA Ranking: https://www.topmba.com/mba-rankings/global/2018 Imperial College London Global MBA: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/business-school/programmes/global-mba/ It is also one of the institutions, donation pour in by the hedge funds. At least I took the picture there.
Imperial is AACSB accredited. Of course Imperial is one of the great universities of the world BUT I wonder if many American HR offices know this. IMO, in the US, unless you're dealing with very cosmopolitan people, one would be better off with an MBA from a well-known US school with a B&M existence. Most Americans are very parochial; most couldn't find the UK on a map. BTW, H.G. Wells graduated from Imperial when it was a different incarnation, National Science School I think was the name.
