    The counting still going on.
The media declared but states yet to certify.

I'm for not delaying, if there is real evidence of fraud and irregularities, check this fast.
It took a month for 2000 Florida.
    It came down to SCOTUS.

As to what is happening behind the scenes.
    I can only speculate.
But I'm not for rushing for sake of rushing. If there is no case for elections problems then
no need to delay. If there is a case then it's justifiable delay.

Really? One post earlier you assured us all that things were happening behind the scenes that we didn't know about (nor did you--inherently illogical). Now we're speculating? This is having a material impact on the nation's ability to be led during a huge crisis. It is reckless, wonton damage being wrought by a petulant baby who can't accept that he lost. It is yet one more example of damage the nation has to tolerate because of its mistake in electing that man in 2016.

On another note, Dr Ben Carson has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Seriously. He's a physician who's on the coronavirus task force and he contracts the disease?

On another note, further research into his background has revealed that all of those brilliant surgeries he was credited for occurred during a game of Operation. But he tripped up removing the Wrenched Ankle.

Attorney General William Barr has authorized federal prosecutors across the U.S. to pursue “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities before the 2020 presidential election is certified, despite little evidence of fraud.

Since Barr is a Republican, the left will attack him.

From my point of view I want to know if the allegations are real or not. I thought some of you will want to know that too.

Oh you want to know, do you?
I'll go out a limb here and assume that when you moved to this country, it is because it was fundamentally different from back home. Do you have so little faith in American institutions that you can believe fraud on this scale can happen in American elections? (don't give me "Russian collusion" here: it was dezinformatzia op not what you assume here, and in any case you didn't believe it). If you do believe this, propaganda worked. NB: in Georgia, elections are run by Republicans. Are they committing fraud? remember how fake elections are run in countries like Russia: a vast army of poll workers are complicit, coerced by their employers (either local governmental agencies, like school boards, or Kremlin-affiliated big business). You really think this can work here? Really really?

I love a comment by Kirill Yeskov: "now we know where Trump really works: at Russia Today. No place for him at Gazprom, like for Schroeder". https://afranius.livejournal.com/
(Kirill Yeskov is a prominent Russian fantasy writer who uses "conspiratorial thinking" in his works. Most famous for a conspiracy-inspired Tolkien fan fic, "The Last Ring-Bearer". His day job is a PhD entomologist).

But really: Trump's rants are word-for-word RT copy.

Barr is a fanatical nut job, so "the left" is telling the truth. Prediction: even he won't provide Trump with what he wants. It's a thankless job being a Trump henchman; ask Jeff Sessions. Only a true psychopath like Steve Miller can go to the very end.

Of course we would want to know if there was HUGE VAST electoral fraud on the scale required to give an illegal victory to Biden. We already know though. That carton of soar milk is not going to turn sweet even if it is placed in Bill Barr's fridge. You bought into Trump's web lies many years ago. Hopefully you can now escape sooner rather than later. Now, Monday has come and gone still no news as to what evidence there is on this HUGE VAST conspiracy.

This isn't done in our democracy. Ever. Not even in 2000.

The race in 1948 was closer. So was the one in 1960, 1976, 2000, 2004, 2016. Yet none of those were treated by the losing side like this. Saying things like "we want all the legal votes counted" (implying there were significant numbers of illegal votes counted) or "we want to exhaust all legal means" (implying there are actual legal issues when there demonstrably are not) just makes the losing side look like whining, sore losers.

It is also hampering our national security and COVID-19 response, but it's not like Trump and his losing enablers ever cared about those things.

We will see how long he can keep this up. I would hope that eventually the folks enabling the President would wise up and basically say "put up or shut up". I think a week or two wouldn't really cause too much damage. There are a lot of Republicans that are probably willing to put up with it for that long. Trump will eventually start hurting and losing other Republicans that didn't lose their election. I think it will be interesting to watch?

Deep down if this was clean elections everybody wins. Our Democracy, and the people.
But I fear the opposite, many store owners are still keeping their stores locked and shielded.

I and 71 million Americans disagree with this assessment.
I remember most if not all governors praising Trump for providing resources and support to fight the COVOD 19 crisis.
Actually there was another smaller health crisis that Obama/Biden failed.

    Fact Sheets

President Trump’s Historic Corona virus Response

    Issued on: August 10, 2020

My Administration will stop at nothing to save lives and shield the vulnerable.

    President Donald J. Trump

    KEY TAKEAWAYS:

    • Took early action to cut off travel from China
    • Built the world’s leading testing system from nothing
    • Enacted mitigation measures to slow the spread
    • Mobilized public and private sectors to secure needed supplies
    • Took action to protect vulnerable Americans
    • Launched effort to deliver a vaccine and therapeutics in record time
    • Provided support to workers and businesses
    • Paved way for reopening to get America working again
    • Surged resources to hot spots as they arose
    • Confronted China as origin of the virus while Democrats and media cowered
At the outset, President Trump took action to stop travel from China to stem the spread to the United States as long as possible.
    • While Democrats were focused on their impeachment sham, President Trump took swift and decisive action to stop travel from China in January and enhanced airport screenings to help stop cases from coming into the United States as long as possible.
    • In his February 4th State of the Union address, President Trump pledged to “take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from the virus,” while the Democrats’ response made not a single mention of the virus or even the threat of China.
President Trump built the world’s leading testing system from nothing, based on a virus we have never faced before.
    • In order to accurately trace and combat this virus, President Trump set out to build the world’s best testing system, and that’s exactly what he did.
    • We have already conducted more than 65 million tests, far outpacing any other country.
As soon as cases began to rise, President Trump released guidance to slow the spread.
    • President Trump released guidance recommending mitigation measures critical to slowing the spread of the virus, and the American people stepped up to do their part.
    • Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx have attested to the fact that President Trump took action as soon as the data was presented to him.

The virus is spreading at its worst since the beginning of the pandemic, with record numbers of cases each day. You're talking about inputs as if they mean something. The outcome is horrible, both in absolute and comparative terms. That sheet is just lying propaganda...yet it doesn't actually say anything!

Think about it. They knew they were going to lie like mad, then did, and even the lies don't claim anything significant! It's like cheating on a test off the dumb guy who sleeps through each class.

Indeed the infections are increasing world wide.
I think wrongly blame President is partisan political issue indeed propaganda.
I still remember how President Trump worked hard to support all governors and states. Instead of giving credit for this people are covering for Governors who mishandled the elderly and killed them by their decisions.
The Times found 14 states where more than half of total deaths occurred in facilities for the elderly. It was 55 percent in Connecticut, 57 percent in Colorado, North Carolina and Kentucky, 58 percent in Virginia, 59 percent in Massachusetts, 61 percent in Delaware, 66 percent in Pennsylvania, 73 percent in Rhode Island and 80 percent in West Virginia and Minnesota.

The states with the most nursing-home deaths, New York and New Jersey, didn’t make the list because of so many other deaths, yet more than 10,000 people died in their facilities. The 5,500 nursing-home deaths in New York are more than the total deaths in all other states except New Jersey.

Scoreboard. As Bill notes elsewhere, 4% of the population with 20% of the fatalities. The pandemic in the US is worse today than it has ever been. You can make all the false and irrelevant claims you want about the Trump administration's efforts. But the results speak for themselves.

Indeed, governed, the governors and mayors , basically states failed as well.
    This was politicized,
Dem's blame President mostly for political reasons, without making them selves accountable as well.
From what I read US is testing more then others, and data from some countries hugely unreliable.

"I don't take responsibility at all." -- Donald Trump, when asked if took responsibility for the results of the pandemic.

If you're position is that the President of the United States doesn't have responsibility in this area, you're wrong.

If you're position is that he does, but it was the failure of others to carry out his plan, you're wrong.

Complaining about the quality of testing data is merely working the refs. Countries with great results also do a lot more testing than we do.
