From my perspective the most important take away from that article is that the protestors are in general well meaning good people. We don't have to agree with all of their positions and statements but they are not out of control monsters wanting the destruction of Israel. They are not evil Iranian stooges. They are not generally under the control of Hamas or the PLO or really anyone outside the USA. They are just generally good Americans trying to do what they think is best.

If there were active activists for protection of Syrian civilians they would protest that too but it's not what Jihad is plotting.

My parents dabbled in end of the world catastrophic thinking. There has always been a part of the human population that has believed that nonsense, at least for the past few thousand years and probably since homo sapiens became a species. The Middle East Forum is labeled as Islamophobia hate by multiple sources. I strongly disagree with both anti-Semitic hate and Islamophobia hate.

 

As they say there is no smoke without fire. It's a fact that Hamas via/with MB are active on our campuses and it's manifested in all the antisemitic and anti Israeli actions that are on campuses for more then decade now.

What Hamas is planning next?

A Palestinian state wich they will takeover by force or elections or both, and turn in to advanced military against Israel.
They will have the situation temporary return to pre Oct 7th war.
Initual attack will be on settlements that are seen illegitimate by Eurooeans and US. Which will presure Israel not to retake it.
And this is just a little bit of what they are planning l.
With Iran that directly attacked Israel and doing its learning and calibration.
Israel is strategzing on how they will prevent that.
