I think the agitators are there, how professional are they or simply Jihadists or support Jihad is not known to me, but I see the actions that match the goals of jihad, and exceed the expectations and achievement of Jihadists. Hamas and Iran are happy with useful idi.
Western Liberal mind set does not understand the Middle Eastern mindset.

You've provided zero reliable support for your repeated assertion that Moslems are somehow pulling the strings on these protests. I note that YouTube is not reliable. (I ignore this kind of unreliable stuff.) The simple straight forward explanation is that the protestors are upset about the scenes of death and destruction they see in Gaza. Just because Hamas and Iran type folks are understandably happy about this kind of stuff that is no where near any proof that they have managed to have any influence on this kind of stuff in this country. Note: I know the mayor of NYC and others have made the same unfounded claims. I just say let's see the proof.

Bill, no not Muslims, I know many who are merciful, good people. I'm talking about Jihadists.
There is a difference, the Jihadists call themselves Muslims.
I mentioned earlier, the protestors are protesting what was agitated to them, they had years to protest the killings of children in Syria, no one incited them, but Israel haters have a plan, they are executing it. It's years in making. And from river to the sea pali will be free tells it all.
Thats my view of the issue. What do you think Free palestine means?
To them its simple, Israel destruction.
    Prove right here.

Here's a real news article unlike the completely unreliable rot posted by Lerner. The Economist is HIGH reliability and LEAST biased.

The IDF is accused of military and moral failures in Gaza
In the early hours of April 7th the Israel Defence Forces’ (idf) 98th Division withdrew from Khan Younis, the second-largest city in Gaza, exactly six months after Hamas’s attack of October 7th. Israel had the sympathy and broad support of much of the West when it sent its army to war with Hamas. Half a year later, much of Gaza lies in ruins. Over 33,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to the Gazan health ministry. The uprooted civilian population faces famine. Israel has lost the battle for global public opinion. Even its closest allies, including America, are considering whether to limit arms shipments.

Much of the criticism centres on Israel’s armed forces. Even after its devastating failure to prevent the massacres of October 7th, the idf has remained the most cherished institution in Israeli society. Holding fast to the vision of the idf as both effective and moral is essential to Israelis’ image of themselves. But it is now accused of two catastrophic failures. First, that it has not achieved its military objectives in Gaza. Second, that it has acted immorally and broken the laws of war. The implications for both the idf and Israel are profound.
    ...

Major-General Tibon’s fiercest criticism is reserved for Mr Netanyahu: “[He] has been running this war to serve his political interests—keeping his nationalist base happy and preventing his far-right extremist parties from leaving his government.” Serving generals share this view.

It's an excellent article, I highly recommend it. My only complaint about the article is the title. I thought the article came done much harder on the political ruling administration than it did on the IDF.

That, I'm deeply afraid, is what is really happening in Gaza.

    Bill,
Many flaws in your so called reliable article.

    Example

according to the Gazan health ministry.
Ha ha ha, are you serious? Hamas Health Ministry is unreliable s it can be.

They inflate the nubers of children etc deaths its been proven that actual #s are more of combatant and combatant age males.

What I posted is more reliable.

Or the good students that wear Free Palestine slogans they don't protest civilian catualties, it's obvious.

In order to understand what really going on in Gaza one needs to be from middle east.

NEW YORK — Cops including two high-ranking NYPD officials pulled down and tossed away a Palestinian flag and proudly hoisted an American flag after evicting protesters encamped at City College in Harlem, video posted by the department shows.

Kaz Daughtry, the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner for Operations, posted the video early Wednesday.

    Tom Cotton (R )
“The terrorist sympathizers in these ‘Little Gazas’ (campuses) aren't peacefully protesting Israel's conduct of the war. They're violently and illegally demanding death for Israel just like their ideological twins, the ayatollahs in Iran,” Cotton said.

Pro-Palestinian protesters and pro-Israel activists clash at an encampment at UCLA early Wednesday morning. (Wally Skalij / Los Angeles Times )

"Another, who apparently wanted to end genocide without imperiling her future employment prospects, said she was "trying to get arrested but not a felony.”

I think students and non student protesters would have only been arrested for misdemeanor trespassing until the fights with the police broke out. Now, students who actually engaged the police will possibly be charged with felony assault on a police officer. This will not bode well for their future prospects.

Many 'outsiders' among those who occupied Columbia building
Of the 112 people arrested Tuesday night at Columbia, 32 were not students, according to city figures released Thursday evening.

It's not surprising there are some outsiders, but (1) when the ratio is lower than 1 in 3, it's tough to argue it's not primarily student driven; and (2) I'd be curious to know how many who aren't current students are recent former students, or otherwise were previously close socially to current Columbia students, like someone's friend from NYU or Bard, or whatever.

With all the social media sites, the agitation and incitement happen online as well or even more.
Videos shared between students and non students, also foreign agitators.
Also the wife of a former computer science professor who pleaded guilty to providing support to terrorists joined protesters at Columbia U in Manhattan last week, earning a shout-out from her radical husband who was deported to Turkey after serving federal prison time.

The NYPD acknowledged a woman with ties to a convicted terror supporter was present, without naming names.
Sami Al-Arian, a former University of South Florida professor who admitted to conspiring to aid the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group in 2006, shared a photo of his spouse at Columbia's West Lawn encampment on X on Friday.
"My wife Nahla in solidarity with the brave and very determined Columbia University students," he wrote.

The issue may escalate to armed conflicts.
Firearms were confiscated at student protests at both the University of South Florida (USF) and the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) over the last two days, authorities say.

Anti-Israel protester Atah Othman, 39, was one of 10 demonstrators arrested on the USF campus on Tuesday — and he was busted carrying a gun in his waistband, Fox 13 Tampa reports.

Othman faces four charges including possession of a firearm on school property, trespassing, unlawful assembly and resisting arrest, arrest records show. He was released on bond just after midnight on Wednesday, hours after protesters gathered at the Orient Road Jail calling for the ten people arrested to be released.

Yes. The Mayor was talking about the woman whose husband was convicted of supporting terrorists.

In addition, he mentioned what I assume to be Lisa Fithian who is a "professional protestor". She has a Wikipedia article and is in her 60s. Her career is organizing and participating protests. Multiple news outlets (including the NY Times) posted pictures of her at Columbia University involved in the actions.

These don't appear to be simply organic spontaneous student protests.
