Why do you guys waste your time on this Thread!!! We all know RU is a Diploma Mill.

Any Donkey knows that a PhD costs more that US 1000.00, even at a Legitimate Unaccredited university!!!!

    where's the beef?

    Hi langdell,

You paid good money to Robertstown to purchase its services. It is likely that these included the fabrication of a transcript.

Please scan, and post a jpeg image, of your Robertstown transcript when you have a moment.

Do you still have the envelope in which the RU documents were sent? From that story on WTHR-TV, it seems probable that its postmark, and perhaps even its return address, are from the inland northwest.

    I'd love to see them.

    thanks,
    G

Re: Why always on the offensive

Why do people who say degrees don't matter spend so much time and money buying, then rationalizing, them?

    Thanks galanga

galanga thanks for the link. Maybe I could make an impact in The Commons? Maybe I could get some justice? Keep an eye on Blogger and you will see that which I mean. By the way this is not justice - if there is any - for Robertstown.

    I am not the person

I am personally in two minds as to whether paper certificates and degrees are of any worth! However I know a lot of people who consider them worthless. They consider occupational ability above academic experience.

Dude, I'm going to be honest with you. I read just enough to know that you need help - serious help. In particular about all that "sex is bad" stuff.....

What that has to do with distance learning is beyond me, but I've given you my two cents worth.

    Re: Not Deserving of Credit

It has been my experience that people who are brilliant don't go around telling other people they are brilliant.

    Re: Thanks galanga

If RU were a serious academic institution then it should be going for accreditation only then it would see justice.

Assuming that RU is as big a joke academically as it appears, since Dipscam, bringing justice to the academic frauds running diploma mills has been a rather spotty affair.

I'm not sure what you meant exactly by your statement but, my conclusion is that unfortunately it's unlikely that we'll see justice for RU.

Apparently the meaning of justice, according to langdell, is something akin to handing over about $1,000 to a shadowy network of ill mannered thugs, eventually leading back to Ms. Randock and company, in exchange for a "degree" of absolutely no value whatsoever except in the mind of the purchaser.

Funny? I thought justice meant doing the right thing. Oh wait! I just remembered!

In the twisted minds of the St. Regis alumni and fellow travellers justice means bending over and kissing their royal behinds for all their life experience vs. our hard earned education and classroom credits. All this while seeing the money go into a organized crime/racketeering type of operation with global reach. Yes - that is the true meaning of justice, is it not LANGDELL?

True, but the "Eric Hoffer's" of the world are few and far between.

    now you see them...

...now you don't. They were in place 20 minutes ago, but are now gone. Langdell, hang in there-- it seems like you're having a rough time of it.

    HIgher-order Thinking Skills

Concerning the degrees I received from Robertstown, they are not listed on my resume and I hardly make mention of them except to friends.

In response to the question of why I say I am doing a degree is because I am! But only to receive an official piece of paper from an accredited university. I spoke to my course tutor today about that which he thought a lecturer meant by saying to me (in the year 2000): “I do not know why you would want to study for a mathematics degree for because you already have the Keys skills it would impart to you.” In response the course tutor said that the lecturer probably meant that I already have the higher-order thinking skills eg. problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, logical reasoning and creative thinking which in his opinion I had clearly demonstrated through my previous education. He explained that these are considered the more difficult skills to acquire.

That which is mentioned above may also cast a light on why another lecturer said: “I think you will be bored with a degree!”
