In light of the events of the nine days since you posted this opinion (the Billy Bush tapes, the multiple sexual allegations, the last two debates, and his comments at the Al Smith dinner) and the fact that you are enrolled in a theology program at a Catholic university, would you care to reevaluate your comment at this point? :tired:

LOL thank you for asking! Yes, I’d be delighted to reevaluate my opinion that Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States!

Today, there are only 16 days left until the election.

A-L-L mainstream media outlets indicate that Trump will lose the election. The message is that he has already lost it and it’s impossible for him to win. The elite mainstream media message that’s being pumped into the hearts and minds of anyone who listens declares: “Boo hoo, so sad. It was a nice run, but it’s over now. Pack your bags and go home.” The clear message is that only an idiot would believe otherwise. But is it true? Really?

There is a woman named Kat Kerr who says that the Lord told her that Donald Trump will be elected for the next two terms and Pence will be elected thereafter. Do you believe her prophecy? No, of course you don’t. However, if Trump is elected, then will you please come back to this thread to share your opinions? Hindsight will be 20/20.

So to answer your question: Yes, Donald Trump will be our next president.

I'll share one right now: If Trump wins, it won't have anything to do with a crazy pink-haired woman claiming to speak for "Heaven".

I am aware that many of the things that Trump says resonates in the hearts and minds of lots of people. They are angry about the status of our country, etc. and have perhaps been waiting a long time for some else to express those same thoughts. They are willing to excuse almost anything else that he says or does because their feelings on these topics are so strong. I am also aware that there is a theory, not totally far-fetched, that many, many other people feel similarly but they don't want to express their support for Trump openly. They don't want to have to defend themselves in this regard so they say they're undecided, or "I don't like either," or even that they're voting for Clinton. BUT, in the sanctuary of the voting booth they will vote for Trump and that there are enough of these people to win the day. Without getting into the whole electoral college thing, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

    LOL

So if Trump wins (which is against the odds, according to the corporate media elite), then Trump's win will be strictly due to the will of the American people.

It seems that the American people have an oversimplified choice between:
    - A man who is accused of being crude, lewd and crass verses
    - A woman who is accused of being a felonious NSA security threat to the nation

Those are good points that have been circulating for a while.

    When "oversimplified" is an understatement.

"Crude" deliberately downplays that he's pandered to the racists of the right and has admitted to sexually assaulting women. I don't know what they're teaching you in that seminary, but this man stands for none of the good things that I was told in Sunday school that Christians are supposed to care about.

This race is reminiscent of the race for Louisiana governor in 1991, when crooked Democrat Edwin Edwards found himself running against neo-Nazi Republican David Duke. The campaign featured slogans like "Vote for the crook: It's important", and "Vote for the lizard, not the wizard".

At least this time there's a reasonable alternative candidate who, while imperfect, is neither a lizard nor a wizard.

That's either a misunderstanding or a lie. When and where did he make that alleged confession? Sexual assault definitions can statutorily vary from state-to-state, so a one-size-fits-all definition cannot be provided. However, here is a general definition:

Sexual assault: (1) Threatening to make vaginal or anal penetration of a person, (2) and the victim believes the sexual assault is imminent (3) and the suspect has a well founded capability of carrying out the threat. Locker room talk where women are not present does not fit that definition.

That's a lie or a misunderstanding. When and where did he pander to racists?

Yes Steve, you are 100% correct: you have no idea. It's not a seminary. It's just a theology program. If you're genuinely interested in knowing or discussing what they teach, then I can make that happen for you.

If you believe the lies that are being spread, then I fully understand your point-of-view. Conversely, do you believe the FBI agent when he said that Hillary Clinton passed Top Secret information over a privately owned server? Mind you: that is an arrestable offense for garden variety federal employees and for military generals who have been convicted and have lost their careers for doing far less.

Is there really someone here defending sexual assault???? Did I just read that?

Lots of people defending perjury that endangered national security, that's for sure.

Ladies, gentlemen, and those who have yet to decide:*

I believe that what we have here is a textbook case of d-e-n-i-a-l.

I have an easy retort: 1 Thessalonians 5:21. Perhaps me again should add it to his list of favorites.

This description minimizes his badness and maximizes hers. It's OK though, it's just spin and most people see through it. I'd just want to remind you that the question that started the thread was "who is going to win" and not "who do you want to win." The best data available at this moment indicates that Clinton is going to win, and by a very big margin. This scenario is developing to an extent that down-ballot races are being affected and some polls have begun to indicate that the Democrats could win the Senate outright.

What lies? I don't believe that Donald Trump was lying when he said he kissed women and grabbed them without their consent.

Interestingly, I heard that in the same voice Bill Clinton used to say, "It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

Not just an agent, but the Director of the FBI. And yes, I believed him. As far as I'm concerned, Clinton and Trump can share a cell.

It’s a theology program and not a divinity program. The topics and issues that are studied vary from class-to-class. Anyway, we’re currently exploring:
    - Dei Verbum (the Constitution on Divine Revelation from Vatican II in 1965)
    - Summa Theologica (the short works of Thomas Aquinas)
    - Covenant and Communion: The Biblical Theology of Pope Benedict XVI
    - Reasons to Believe: How to Understand, Explain and Defend the Catholic Faith

Thomas Aquinas was asked to summarize the most important parts of his works (which are voluminous), so he wrote Summa Theologicia. However, he died before he could finish his compilation. In the end, he basically said that all his writings were straw because everything can be summed up in the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Hmmmmmm. Just for the sake of argument . . .

In citing Thomas and the Summa, two questions that come to mind are: (1) How can you justify voting for Trump, and (2) How can you justify voting "Hillary for Prison?" (So much for Thomas' teachings on both ethics and grace.)

And, just for the halibut, can you, or any of our other dear readers and participants, think of any prominent politicians (say, at the federal Congressional level or above) who does or did not have at least some degree or corruption or crookedness? (I asked myself that recently and came up with only two, which in order not to inordinately hijack the thread, I'll leave unnamed at this time).

Interesting question. If Justin Amash (R-MI) is corrupt or crooked, I haven't heard about it. And on the other side of the aisle, I never heard a bad word about Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), at least in that regard.

I can only think of one person, but his reputation was politically tarnished with trumped-up false allegations. The allegations stuck to him and he was subsequently adjudicated guilty in court -- and he was sentenced to death-on-the-cross. Christ Jesus was sinless, yet he was adjudicated guilty. If a perfect man can be crucified, then how about the rest of us? Fortunately, sins can be remitted for Christians who are in Christ.

A presidency under Hilary Clinton would never happen and if it did (hypothetically), it would lead to the end of the Republic and the slow demise of the Constitution through the appointment of socialist SCOTUS appointees.

You ask how Trump can be elected. We are electing a businessman as president -- and not a preacher or a Sunday school teacher. The nation needs a businessman to lead the country.

    Make America Great Again! :)
