There are many without the crudentials, if you get a PhD/DBA and publish, you will be in a great position.

I would go tot he Chronicles in Higher Education and see what positions have the most positions (you can sort by spec.).

Another good source, if you're looking for adjuncting gigs, is Adjunct Nation (so I'm told).

Comparing this list of US-based AACSB docs available by short residency ...

and this list of B&M AACSB Entrepreneurship docs ...

with this list of AACSB MBAs in Entrepreneurship via DL,

... one might get the DL MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado Denver www.cudenver.edu www.cuonline.edu and the PhD in Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Boulder www.colorado.edu or the DL MS in Entrepreneurship at the University of Florida www.ufl.edu and follow that up with the (proposed) Executive DBA at the University of Florida www.ufl.edu.

If I do the 2 MBA's they'd have to be at the same University, which is gotta have a DL AACSB MBA.

I like the way you connect the dots. I've given this some though. I like the idea of 2 MBA's, from the same MBA school:

1- the first must be in Entrep.

2- the second can be in any of these areas

-a- Technology/IT (I have work ex. and schooling)
-b- Project Mgmt (work exp and some online classes)
    -c- Intl. Biz (no exp.)

3- then, to continue with a PhD (in 3 yrs from now, either B&M PhD or new DL PhD's that may become available)

The search for the right DL AACSB MBA continues..

The University of Colorado Denver www.cudenver.edu and www.cuonline.edu, Drexel University www.drexel.com, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute www.wpi.edu offer both the MBA Entrepreneurship and the MBA Information Technology, and all three are AACSB.

Since you have now narrowed base on specialty, do you have other preferences - such as funding limitations? etc.

What about these combinations at the same Uni?

Entrep MBA + Project Mgmt MBA

Entrep MBA + Intl. Biz MBA

I'm still surfing the market of available programs, keeping the price tag out of my consideration for now.

Once I get a good list of schools, then I will compare them based on course work, reputation, hours, cost, ratings etc.

    Reputation, good for a PhD?

Guys, a friend of mine suggested I look at Ivy League MBA DL programs.

Do you think there is a benefit to going for a DL Ivy League MBA if my goal is to apply for a PhD afterward, in other words, would the reputation of the Ivy League be a plus for a PhD candidate, or for a person wanting to be an adjunct / tenured professor?

DL MBA programs that were brought up (not all are Ivy League but according to him these are prestigious ones):

    Harvard Extension School (HES)
    Polytechnic Institute of NYU
    Duke University
    University of Southern California (USC)
    Stanford University
    Columbia University
    Purdue extension
    Penn State CGS
University of maryland university college (UMUC)
    UMass Amherst
    Northeastern
    U Florida

In your opinion, is it worth paying the extra $ to attend these schools (keeping my future goals, mentioned above, in mind)?

    Let me reword this

I hope I am not asking too many questions.
I am considering a few issues today, I'd love to hear from you:

    First,
Does it pay to attend a 'well known' school, if my goal is to go for PhD after the MBA, and then teach in a university?

Would a PhD program prefer a candidate with a well known MBA?
Would a university look favorably at a potential faculty member who has a degree from a well known school?

    Second,
Compare Reputation vs. specialization: Should I go for the MBA specialization that I like (Entrep, Intl Biz, etc) OR not do a specialization I like in order to get into a reputable program (that does not offer such specialization).

    Finally,
Money matters: I don't want to pay more than 25k for the MBA (or for the dual MBA's I may go for, if the University offers 2 specializations that I like)

I would say reputation always helps, but is it worth it. Also, can you gt in? And in the timing you want? Many of the very high end programs have the application process up to a year before beginning the program (and many times only has a few spots).

UMUC is not AACSB accredited, not considered like Harvrd (though UoM is), but two totally difference institutions.

I think for an adjunct position, it is not worth it, for a PhD program (depending on which), it would make a difference.
