Manafort was allegedly cooperating with the Mueller investigation but that dawn raid on his home was pretty clear indication that his cooperation was at least a little lacking. Then, Trump pardons that x sheriff, sending a clear message that he's prepared to back up his friends. So now we see Mueller collaborating with the New York DA regarding potential state law charges against Manafort. Of course, those state charges are outside the reach of Trump's pardon powers. The pressure on Manafort builds. Will he flip?

I am sure he will flip, he is not stupid. The new plot twist you describe will turn up the heat quite a bit. I think he will talk to get a plea deal.

If he was really all that smart he wouldn't be in this situation so . . .

A bit odd that during a time where EVERYTHING in Washington is leaked to the media within minutes, there hasn't been one single scrap of evidence leaked to the press about any Trump-Russia collusion.

Gee, I wonder why that is?

Let me guess: Mueller's team likes their boss way more than WH staff likes their boss?

    Maybe because.......there is no evidence?

Kremlin Says It Got Trump Lawyer Cohen's Email, Didn't Reply.

So let me get this straight: Cohen wanted the Kremlin to help with Trump's real estate deal, and for this end, he e-mails to public address of the Press Office of the President of RF? It seems Peskov (who is probably the highest-paid professional liar in the world) here acknowledges the communication, but transparently lies about the details. Would not be their first, or one hundredth.

No one is perfect so there will be evidence of something. But Mueller is supposed to be investigating some specific thing and not 'something.'

It's my understanding in these situations that they investigate wherever the trail leads. Something can start out specific, then lead to other things. That is how Bill Clinton got caught with the Monica scandal.

Yes, we will. But I guess I'd have to point out that while I am personally unaware of the specifics of the evidence, there is clear reason to believe that evidence of some sort(s) does exist. I say this based on the fact that search warrant(s) have been issued, subpoenas, have been issued, etc. all of which require evidence (I'm pretty sure that's true). So, you can say that you haven't seen any evidence but the facts indicate that evidence exists, whether you've seen it or not.

Evidence of what, exactly? Trump-Russia collusion?

If that was the case, I think there would be more leaks in this investigation than on the Titanic, considering Mueller seems to have almost exclusively hired Democrats, Hillary donors, and former Hillary employees for his staff.

I'm going to be very amused to see the backpedaling, mea culpas, and outright ignoring of the news when it comes out that there is absolutely nothing to this. I'm already seeing the precursors, since the MSM seems to have pulled the plug on its former 24/7 coverage of the "story".

You know, I live in a very weird world right now. For three years, I hear about "evidence" from Russian shills: where's evidence Russian troops took Crimea (that was right up to the moment Putin bragged about it on TV)? participate in Donbass war (variant: prove they're regular troops. "They are on vacation")? Involved in MH17 tragedy ("investigation is rigged, if they had evidence they'd release it by now")? Prove that Kremlin had anything to do with killing Boris Nemtsov ("he was not a real threat anyway")! Evidence, evidence, evidence.

Then I come here and hear the same script from an American cop. The world is screwed up.:banghead:

It will be even more amusing to see your backpedaling if anyone gets charged.

Question: when Trump's lawyer e-mailed Kremlin about Trump Tower Moscow project, did he try to violate Foreign Corrupt Practices Act? Surely the owner of amazing mustache and expensive watch enthusiast Peskov is not a proper channel for real estate permits issues. (and who writes a request for special considerations to a foreign President using public e-mail address? I mean, many people do, but they are all nuts. Peskov clearly lies about this detail, but knows Cohen won't contradict him. Kremlin doesn't care everyone can see their lies, as long as there's no solid proof - and sometimes when there is solid proof They are 80lvl trolls). Also, when Sater said in e-mail “I will get Putin on this program and we will get Donald elected”, what did he mean? What in the world is that about? What was Trump doing working with the convicted felon anyway?

If Trump is found to have colluded with Russia during the 2016 election, I will issue a full apology right here.

Personally, I think you have a better chance of having a UFO piloted by Jesus Christ land in your front yard, but I stand by my promise.

You'd need to spell out what you will accept as "colluding", and would actions of close associates qualify. I know how this movie plays.

I'd prefer this anyway, because imagine how much mileage you'd get from saying, "The Lord landed in my yard, people!"

Whatever definition I could provide would never cast a wide enough net for you. If Mueller finds out that Trump once asked for Russian salad dressing when he was 14, that will be collusion to you.
