It's "neither"-"nor", not "neither"-"or". You are on a roll, baby!

Ok, I want you to guess whether or not I have a law degree. Ask me a legal question, any question. But first, I get to ask you one:

Explain to me the Rule Against Perpetuities. You have five minutes. Go ahead, I'm all aflutter with anticipation.

    :)

I don't think you have anything to be ashamed of with your academic credentials. They're fine. They're not awe-inspiring, but they're certainly better than 95% of the population.

So why are you so insecure about them? Why do you spend your time looking only at the 5% ahead of you? Whether that Cal Bar was a stumbling block or not is of no measure. Let it go; you've worked hard; you've made something of yourself.

There's nothing wrong with the field of real estate. I knew a lawyer, a fellow named Davis, who'd gotten his law degree from a bona fide USN top tier school. He left the practice of law, did some hi-tech sales. But his ultimate goal was to get into real estate. When I last was working with him, he'd gotten his license and was planning his exit strategy out of hi-tech sales into real estate brokerage (and not for lack of success, he'd made $280K in comissions from sales the year before I started working with him). I knew another guy, name of Gordon, who went to a very good state university's law school for no reason other than to benefit his real estate practice--never intended to practice law.

So there's nothing at all wrong with doing what you're doing. Who cares about the Cal Bar? Forget it. You're probably doing something more honorable and possibly more lucrative anyway.

Why are you so obsessed with my credentials? I haven't been blowing hot about them at all; I've told you they're nothing special. Would it make my opinions better if I'd gone to a top-tier ABA law school? Would it make them worse if I'd never set foot on a college campus? Answer is "no".

That's why I think your behavior is unseemly, you don't need to show off. For that matter, I probably don't need to incite you. But goodness, man, can't you tell when a fella's having a little fun? Why don't you just laugh back at me rather than getting defensive? Throw it back in my face, but laugh at yourself along the way. Does the soul good. :)

    What are your credentials?

What schools did you attend and graduate from?

If your not a lawyer shut the hell up about law schools.

I will blow you away about the practice of personal injury cases, criminal defense and tax law.

NAME THE COLLEGES AND LAW SCHOOLS YOU ATTENDED AND OR GRADUATED FROM!

    Golly gee JDLLM2,

I just can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy you'd be defending in a criminal trial (maybe he'd deserve it though)... Resorting to name calling and blowing your own horn in regards to your credentials just doesn't cut it.

Can't we teach you the difference between "your" and "you're"? I have a feeling you're never going to get that one.

By the way, I misspelled "commissions". Shame on me, you should've gotten me on that one. :)

I don't think that anyone has been blowing hot about credentials but JDLLM2...

It would be great to see him be able to laugh about it all, but that doesn't seem to be the case. At least others can. ;)

Naw, L.F. is the goods. He went to Arizona Law and got himself admitted in Minnesota or Michigan or some such place.

He's also got an MBA or something and teaches at the University level when someone will hire him.

Other than being a RIGHT WING RADICAL SCALIA-ITE (a sure sign of moral inferiority ;)), he's perfectly reliable.

Anyway, Kansas requires, not ONLY a J.D. from an ABA approved law school BUT a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited school of ALL applicants.

New Jersey is equally rigid as to law degrees. I don't recall if NJ has any pre legal ed. requirement.

Shut up, you're out of order, counselor. How can I be da goods when you already da legal goods around here? Besides, based on current trends, your law school will pass mine in USN rankings within a few years. And what of UoL? The ultimate trump card. You da goods, not me.

And did you read where Scalia recently earned the distinction of being the first in Supreme Court history to use that wonderful Yiddish word "chutzpah" in a decision? Is that not cool? You may have to convert over to our side after all. Come to us, Norman, we've been waiting for you. Come...

I AM NOT THE CHILDISH but it is apparent you do not have a law degree. So I am done here with you.

I guess I don't. But if you'd like to find out for yourself, why don't you check back a post or two? Research, counselor, research. :)

If Fauss graduated from University of Arizona and passed the Michigan bar why doesnt he say so.

    Let him state his credentials.

In the case of Dude, he IS NOT A LAW SCHOOL graduate
so he has ZERO credibility on law schools, either State Accredited or ABA.

In fact I am not sure DUDE even has a regionally accredited
    undergraduate degree.

APPARENT he doesn't have a law degree because he did not tell you the school from which he graduated? You did notice Nosborne state his credentials didn't you?

And you expect everyone here to believe you're a law school graduate (with spelling and grammar problems) simply because you say it is so? Hmmmm....

You are correct that I am not a law school graduate. I am enrolled in a foreign correspondence program. So take my opinions for what they are worth...

I have expressed serious doubts about you (as have others). Maybe you're telling the truth, maybe not. To be honest, I really don't care. I just love laughing at your reactions, that is all. :D

For the record, my qualifications are MUCH less than many others here. I have no postgraduate study, but I do have a regionally acreditted undergraduate degree. Not sure what significance that is to you, but I hope to be a registered engineer by the end of the year.
