    TEKMAN Semper Fi!

It is interesting that the University of Oxford includes a graduate's thesis/dissertation in the degree diploma. American's universities should do that. :)

I like the look without on the parchment, but I am always surprised when I see people list their degree without listing the thesis title which means we have no insight into their work.

Neat! In retrospect, I realize I wasn't specific enough with my off-the-cuff comment. I didn't mean to disparage anyone on this board who lists their PhD in their signature since you don't get a lot of space there. I was thinking more of situations where someone lists that they have a PhD in their CV, or on LinkedIn (especially if they refer to themselves exclusicvely as "Dr. X") but don't list their thesis title so you don't know what kind of research they have done.

I know that in competitive academic environments it's common to even list your supervisor on your CV, because famous supervisors help people trust your work.

Within six months after completing his PhD, my father became disappointed with his own successful dissertation. It was a PhD in political science with a dissertation applying analytic philosophy to a political concept.

Before long he pivoted his career toward applied-economics-based public policy analysis, which might have been less easy if the philosophical dissertation title had prominently followed him everywhere!

    I'm honestly intrigued Sir...

Do you go in depth on your thesis and conclusions in any other post?

I have 17,500 posts, so....probably. But I wouldn't know how to direct you beyond using the search function.
