Umm, because it was compiled four years before you joined the board? :)

I cannot. First, it was a cathartic effort to get away from some of the typical negativity--a reaction, if you will. Timely only then. Second, I'm not "into" this board anymore, and can't really remember who is who. Finally, I wouldn't want to leave anyone out--there are some very fine posters here.

    Sorry.

    Holy thread resuscitation, Batman!! :D

Wow...that was a walk back in time. I sort of miss those days, when everything seemed much simpler.

This is truly a remarkable find in the archive.

As Rich said, it does recall a time when things were simpler and also recalls some wonderful people who aren't posting here much any more.

I'd like to go on record for appreciating all of the very many people who have contributed to the community here, and particularly the people who have posted here, and stayed here, year in and year out, and helped to keep this a vibrant, informative community in spite of our various technical and other issues.

Although the steps are small, I am excited to be thinking about and working on the various little upgrades and changes that are in store and hope that the next 6 or 10 or 20 years will be as wonderful for growing this community as the first 6 or 7 have been.

And many thanks to you, Rich, for making a significant contribution to the discipline of distance learning through your dissertation research, which continues to be one of the most significant studies in the area of accreditation. I continue to cite your study at professional conferences as one of the few primary sources on the subject.

Thanks, Tony. I'm cooking up something else these days, but it won't be done for a couple more years.

Does Russ still post here? His website is still alive 9 years after I linked it while many others' weblinks are broken.
