As much as I hate him, he does have a right to whatever money he can earn. That much is true.

But, one of his big talking points is how "the elites" do this and "the elites" do that. He is an elite and is lying by omission to his viewers about that fact.

You didn't answer the question. Proscribe is more often used in the sense of forbidding than criticizing. Which do you mean?

You see, I know Stanislav has no authority here. However, he argued it's wrong for me to even check the weather, if published by Sputnick. See quote above. Any thoughts on the mob attempting to shout down University of Chicago Professor John Mearsheimer? I can only assume his daily news consumption is far more diverse than my own. He certainly does not appear to be a bobblehead.

Merely one of his many lies. The most often repeated one, though.

Sure. He should be commended for being a pioneer in bringing xenophobia and white supremacism to the mass market. He's Henry Ford of hate (that's one heck of an elevator pitch, don't you think?).

    P. S. One thing he shares exhibits is using "culture" as a code in making bigoted arguments. Hmmmmm...

Not sure whether you quoted the post you intended to. Who is this 'pioneer in bringing xenophobia and white supremacism?'

Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson . I'm not sure about "pioneer", but certainly the most successful provider of this... let's say "product", today. Reel American story, that one.

Actually Henry Ford was the Henry Ford of hate where Jews were concerned.

The only thing I fear in all of this, in the long run, is global thermonuclear war. (It's the Cold War veteran in me.) But....

I know Donald Trump never had the prerogative to unilaterally launch nuclear weapons. I doubt that Putin does, either. He's going to need help and acquiescence to do that, and I doubt he'd get it.

Or maybe I'm just hoping he won't. It's hard to say.

Oh believe me that's my nightmare too as a Cold Warrior. What makes it worse is that our military seems to have a doctrine of a graduated nuclear response. Whoa. Are they nuts? If we dust the Kremlin the Pentagon won't be far behind.

As an Old Nuclear Era Sailor myself, and a former patron of the 'Ground ZeroCafe,' and alumni of the Manhattan Project's successor agency, I have little concern about the sanity of Department of Defense Civilian and Military Personnel. As in any field infinite scenarios are explored, and constantly changing doctrine evolves. From time to time, I become concerned with our elected officials and their appointees. However, I have every confidence in our Department of Defense Military and Civilian personnel.

So do I. But what about the Russians?

Hopefully this generation's version of Stanislav Petrov will save us.

It's either that or talk about how their GDP has now shrunk to be smaller than that of the Netherlands.

Perhaps. There is also mention of reporters verbally battering Washington Capitals Stanley Cup winning superstar Alex Ovechkin. Seems as they were trying to goad him into denouncing Putin. With family still living in Russia, it may have been wise that he refused to so.

My family is still living in Ukraine. Do you have a wise recommendation for me, Charles?

Stanislav, I sincerely believe in prayer. I pray for everyone in Ukraine. I encourage you to as well. My point in mentioning Ovechkin having family still in Russia is, simply could he jeopardize their safety by criticizing President Putin now?

Might not be a good thing. Private companies surly must be allowed to set their own policies but is there any limit?

I am very concerned about U.S. Senators calling for the assassination of heads of state.
