I'm one of them. (although I don't start insomniac standard time until 1am)

 

I'm usually one of them....after midnight is about the only time I have the house to myself, so it's convenient.

 

It's almost 2:00 am now (assuming that my watch is actually right).

 

Hello, Gentleman. Please accept my membership to the Can't Sleep Gang. I woke up a few minutes ago (at nearly a quarter to 2am over on left coast USA) and feel not an ounce of sleepiness.

Oh, and since I have the ears of ye moderators: How long does a newbie typically have to prove themselves before their posts can appear real-time-ish? I'm always so anxious to contribute to various conversations around these parts but the [completely understandable] lag time between the moment I type out my earth-shattering thoughts on, oh, I don't know, kids today and their newfangled, brightly colored shoelaces, let's say, and the actual appearance of my posts can really harsh my mellow.

 

I work weird shifts. It is almost bedtime.

 

The answer is: I don't know.

 

The more you post the faster you'll get through the time lag.

On my end of the country, this is not the insomniac hour; it's only 10:30. I suppose for you it's either 12:30 or 1:30.

 

None of us know the exact number and I suspect it's a floating number. But I think you must be getting pretty close. In fact, let me know the number of your first post that doesn't get moderated. I'd like to know, if you don't mind.

 

Well, it was 1:02 AM when I posted and your post says 1:38 AM. It's now about 4:30 AM.

 

Oddly enough I fell asleep early last night, missing the end of the Celtics game.
