The Celtics lost again and I'm wide awake at the insomnia hour. Life is not always easy.

I had a bad feeling about that game, so I skipped it and watched Restaurant Impossible instead.

I wonder if counting insomniacs helps you to fall asleep.

I'm puzzled - You posted at 7:36 PM so how is that an insomniac hour (even accounting for the fact that time may be MDT on my computer) ?

You can't trust the time sig on the board. Right now I've got 1:51 am eastern time. I'm wide awake (unfortunately).

Must be a time difference thing. My computer says I posted at 11:36 PM.

Either that or it helps me get to the 10,000 post mark faster.

These are very interesting data to me. When I was writing ads for the distance learning MBA of the Edinburgh Business School (1991-1999), I proposed radio spots, and they agreed. In San Francisco (for instance), on all-news station KCBS, a 30-second drive-time spot cost $500, and a 30-second spot at 3 am cost $50. The notion did occur to write copy specifically for the 3 AM people, suggesting politely that if they were at work, perhaps an MBA would help get them a better job, and if they weren't at work and were looking for something to do at this hour, reading business texts might be just the thing.

The university didn't like this notion, so we went with a test series of spots throughout the day, from 6 am to 10 pm. Actually the afternoon (2 to 5) spots worked the best. And I'd still love to try the 3 am approach sometime.

Bruce's response reminds me that there must be quite a few professionals (police, firefighters, medical) who could have MBA interest who are awake at that hour, either for the reason Bruce gives, or because they are between crises on their jobs.

Where I'm sitting it's just after midnight. Considering that it's a Saturday night, this doesn't seem too insomniatic to me. By the way. the Celtics won tonight and will move forward to play the Miami Heat. My prediction, C's in the finals.

Sorry I missed the head count.

My dog had to go out, since it rained last night and she would not go then.

BTW, I am the only member on at this time. What is everyone waiting for? Join up!!
