There are some at least yellow flags here folks. That's all I'm saying. Trump doesn't ACT like a billionaire.

Possibly he's got buildings etc. worth money (and yes - liens etc. against them) but that's not liquidity. Maybe it's a cash crunch, where he can't just pry the money loose and hand it over. Oh -- the problems of being a billionaire... or not. :)

And I note the $2 billion best estimate of his wealth is half what the pundits estimated a few years back.

Re: Those six bankruptcies. They were all corporate - like the one that changed bond-holders into bag-holders (left with nothing) when his casinos went belly-up. As far as I know, Trump has never had a personal bankruptcy. That doesn't suddenly make him an angel, of course, but it's a mis-characterization to say "Donald Trump went bankrupt" when it was a company bankruptcy, no matter if Trump owned 100% of it. Even if it happens six times. :)

Well, of course I've no way to know for sure. But I still wouldn't loan him a sawbuck for a week even if the loan agreement were in writing and notarized and was secured by Mar a Lago itself.

Wise decision. I wouldn't lend him money, even if I thought he was good for it. I have to like someone to do that. :)

A "cash crunch", aka cash flow problem, is a form of insolvency and can result in a debtor being forced into bankruptcy or receivership. I have not heard of Trump himself ever failing to make timely debt payments. However, awhile ago his main bank declined to do further business with him. Either they didn’t like his politics (as Germans maybe they recognize fascism when they see it) or they thought he'd gotten too risky.

Risky? How could that be? He's a "very stable genius," remember? :)

Germany, recognize fascism? Sure - and I think they've had some to recognize, lately, with the AfD party (Alternative for Germany)

    (1) The Party's Youth Organization was placed under watch as a "confirmed extremist group."

    (2) It was ruled that Germany's Federal Bureau for the Protection of the Constitution could classify and monitor the entire AfD party as a suspected right-wing extremist group.

    (3) The former head of AfD, Jorg Meuthen, resigned in Jan. 2022, acknowledging that "the party had developed very far to the right with totalitarian traits and in large parts was no longer based on the liberal democratic basic order"

    (4) I don't get along with German AfD supporters - and they don't seem to like me, either. I got a comment or two about my "woke agenda." Those exact two words. That tells me all I need to know -- very quickly.

So in the aether this morning is Giuliani threatening to sue Trump for unpaid legal fees. It's actually kind of interesting. Giuliani went into bankruptcy so the fees Trump allegedly owes Giuliani are property of his estate. Giuliani can't refuse to collect because the money belongs to his creditors. You'd think a billionaire would pay his debts.

Giuliani threatening Trump? The Toad should be careful, when he threatens the Skunk. :)
