True, My Little Pony is a complete silly fantasy but takes itself very seriously. It is part of its charm. I can state with complete confidence that there won't ever be a scene on MLP where a unicorn is defalcating in view.

Something that I am noticing with local politicians during this current election cycle….. many Republicans are referring to being “Pro-Trump” in their campaign. Dude, how does being “Pro-Trump” prove you are qualified? You know what that tells me as a voter? That tells me NOT to vote for you. I don’t care too much about political parties, but in this era of “Pro-Trump” garbage, I can not vote for a single Republican, especially if they are trying to ride the Trump coattails. I don’t understand how he has so many followers. I have never seen any other President inspire this kind of following. Trump campaign signs and flags are still up all over the city. I wish the Trump nonsense would end. I would love to see some Republican candidates that break away from the Trump train.

What would such a candidate offer to the majority of the GOP Base? The problem with having your voters inhabit a fantasy land is that you must appeal to them within the fake reality of that fantasy land and that means adhering to the Trump World of Lies. Otherwise you aren't speaking words that these people can hear.

Worse, there's a lot of money to be made pushing Tump's lies. Proving that they are lies has zero effect. It's a remarkable example of what the prophets referred to as "Whoring after false gods" and it's very hard to fight.

Right, Bill. But I should point out:

Defalcate = embezzle funds with which one has been entrusted.
    Defecate = we all know.

Neither will ever be shown on MLP, I'm sure.
@nosborne48 Has any animal on "Bluey" ever taken the money and run? :)

Australian unicorn, by the way, so I suppose the horn spirals the opposite way?

Yes, I didn't even know that defalcate was a word. I misspelled defacate(sp?) and then picked a correctly spelled word but wrong word using the spell correction built into Chrome.

Although defalcate is a great word. It reminds me that I just recently learned that my estranged older brother is apparently a felon. At least back in 2019 he was telling little old ladies around the country that they had won a million dollars. However, in order to collect their prize they would have to first send him $25,000 in financial handling fees. I guess that is not really defalcating funds though since he didn't embezzle funds he was entrusted with, he was just conning folks out of their money.

Nope. Just fraud. Easy to see why you're estranged, Bill. I would be, too. :(

The older I get, the more I despise people who victimize the elderly.
Won't waste good hatred on 'em, though. Too fine an emotion to squander on mere low-lifes.

I learned recently that Sesame Street's bit about episodes being sponsored by the letter J and the number 2 (for example) was designed to help them compete with flashy shows of the day which were basically long commercials for the products on offer. It makes sense.

Indeed. A LOT of things about that show made sense. And just the right mix of things that didn't - to amuse kids and hold their interest.

Johann, perhaps you and I should share the balcony at the Muppet Show!

Ready if you are, Nosborne48! I just did a fast read on those two cranky guys, Statler and Waldorf.

    (1) "Statler and Waldorf are both old queens, but they are not a couple.
    (2) Move Over Bert & Ernie! This Fanfic Recognizes the True Gay Muppets...

You'll find that second one here with an imaginative and breezy "account" of the earlier years of Statler and Waldorf:

Like I said - ready if you are! I don't give a hoot what anybody thinks... :)

Um. Re Bert and Ernie...if you're acquainted with the hysterical musical "Avenue Q" Ernie isn't in fact. I never did figure out what exactly is their relationship though. Maybe Army buddies?

Singing frog show with gay themes discourse on DegreeInfo, not surprising. Without Steve Levicoff, surprising!

Perhaps --- but equally or even more enjoyable. We're holding our own - nicely. And DON'T read anything into that last sentence! :)
