It's too bad they had to go through the criminal justice system to get the medical care they needed.

The vast majority of female inmates had committed crimes in association with a man in their lives. That's the other drug whose removal from their lives helps them recover.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Trump up 6 points over Harris in the Peach State, with 50 percent support to her 44 percent. Another 3 percent backed other candidates.

    Governor Walz is struggling.

Apparently, JD Vance doesn't know that vice presidents have no power other than being the tie-breaking vote. Or, he's banking on the ignorance of Americans.

Doesn't matter much either way I don't think. Folks vote for President not VP.

We vote for a ticket with both. Trump is 78 years old. If he wins, Vance could be president.

My comment was in response to Vance ignoring Biden's existence and pretending that Harris is already president.

One of the debates where I get an impression that VP candidates are better that Presidential candidates.

It was more civil and more focused on policy. There was some question dodging, but it wasn't as unhinged. There was just that little moment when they had to cut off the mics.

Vance is better than Trump in the sense that at least he still has all his faculties. I wouldn't say that Walz is better than Harris, though.

Yes, Harris is a kick-ass prosecutor. Very smart she's running a good campaign. Overcoming Trump's lies is difficult though. Odds makers are giving Trump a slight edge right now.

As you know, I don't like him either, but it's not as simple as that. The difficult thing is overcoming how many people in this country justifiably feel like policymakers don't care about them, and that voting for Trump is a way to stick it to those elites.

Yes and he has lies at many levels about everything. I only hire the best people. All bad things happening in the world like October 7, the Ukraine war, etc. wouldn't have happened during my watch. The stock market is only doing well for Biden because everyone is assuming that I'll win the election. Only I can fix it. I had the best economy in the history of the USA. Mexico will pay for the wall.

Its possible, I have seen interviews and earlier debates with Harris, She was ok but nothing more, and at some it appeared she struggled, if my memory serve me well.
The only time I have seen her above her other debates and interviews was the recent debate with Trump.
So I will take it from people who know her better, and to be AG of the state and first woman (black)VP are extraordinary achievements, one can't deny.

In 2022 Walz said there's no right to misinformation and hate speech, and he was completely wrong, there is a constitutional guarantee of free speech in that regard.

But spinning that into "Harris and Walz are a threat to Americans' free speech" is pretty histrionic.

If I had to choose between my right to disseminate misinformation and hate speech or our democracy I'll pick democracy every time.

I'm not as quick to compromise on the most fundamental of civil liberties, but I also don't believe they're truly at play here.

    Agreed!

Both Vance and Trump seem to lie more often than they tell the truth. I hope that good Republicans get their party back sooner rather than later. I want to get back to the good old days where if a Republican wins the Presidency I can just shrug and say to myself "Oh well".
