Donald Trump is most definitely not in his right mind.

I think that Trump would be danger to our democracy if he wins the election. I'll admit to a darker worry though. I think that Trump's racism is a greater danger than his autocrat leanings. I mean there's a reasonable chance that people and our institutions would stop him from making himself dictator. His pandering to racists is encouraging and recruiting more racists. Whenever he makes a nod to a racist group like the Proud Boys then the group swells in size. These racists MAGA fans are a horrible poison to our society.

 

Trump was already a president for 4 years. We witnessed how Dems went after him, I think we can estimate and calculate what will be if he wins the elections..
But current polls show Harris will win.

 

I think Harris exaggerated about troops being in a war zone, depending on how you define it. We're not really pushing forward with combat anywhere, but that doesn't mean troops aren't exposed.

That said, Trump assured us no one died in Afghanistan on his watch. (65 troops died there while he was in office.)

While not Haitian immigrant, one can see how this story can get on the social media, and easily propagate with some distortion of eyewitnesses.

"Police have released video footage of an American woman being arrested for eating a cat – 170 miles away from Springfield, Ohio where Donald Trump claimed Haitian immigrants were devouring pets.

The arrest took place in Canton on August 16 after police received several calls from the public.
According to a police report Allexis Ferrell, 27, smashed the cat’s head with her foot and then started eating it.
Police said they saw fur on the woman’s lips and blood on her feet.

So it appears the cat was being eaten in Canton, Ohio.
The picture of the guy with the goose is in Columbus, Ohio,
and the 4 guys reported killing and eating geese in the park in Springfield can not be verified because they have not been prosecuted.

 

The woman in Canton was born in Ohio, and she has mental health problems. The guy carrying the geese picked them up after they had been struck and killed by a vehicle. Turning this into Haitians killing and eating pet owners' cats and dogs is just racism and xenophobia.

I haven't seen a news story on four guys killing geese in Ohio; I saw a story from New York.

It's not "easy" for this to get distorted in the way it was. This was intentional, and the rumor was likely started by a neo-Nazi who spoke at a city council meeting in late August. It's only easy to believe this crap when you're already a racist.

 

If you want to undermine the case for limiting immigration, you need to start talking about immigrants eating pets. ;-)

 

This is destined to be a number one musical hit! It is very important that everyone watch it since it is so soooo good. Also watch to the end to get the important input from the last dog on the video.

 

If Trump and Vance weren't racists they would realize how stupid they sound to people. At least that is my assessment of the situation.

 

Vance called Trump America's Hitler. Vance decided to join in on the racism to further his career.

 

Some truth in it. In a recent interview she struggled to answer questions so perhaps she is better dodging interviews. No one is home. Sad but true.

 

If there is such a thing as momentum in politics, things aren't looking good for the GOP in either House of Congress either.

 

Well, we will see but I think it UNlikely the House will stay in GOP hands.

 

The Senate will be much more difficult. West Virginia will go Republican for sure. As a matter of fact here's a fairly recent article on the topic, that is the 10 most likely Senate seats to flip. Out of the ten listed the top eight most likely to flip are Democrat. Ninth is Republican. The tenth is Democrat. Looks like pretty grim odds for Democrats.

Keeping the Senate would be near impossible except for the profound hatred and loathing (based in fear) the MAGA GOP inspires. All those seats the commentariat says will flip are currently held by Democrats not Republicans.

 

Those seats can therefore be won by Democrats. Add to that abortion. I think the results might surprise everyone.
