I first saw this conspiracy theory on Twitter, and then I saw it as a viral post on Facebook. The earrings do not match. Her earrings were identified as being from Tiffany's.

Harris' debate performance wasn't that great. Considering that some of her rehearsed responses did not address the question at hand, I also do not believe the conspiracy theory that she received the questions beforehand. Harris was seen as the winner because Trump did so bad. RFK Jr. was disappointed stating that Trump got distracted and didn't make his case to the American people.

If I were Trump, I would want to redeem myself with a second debate, but it's looking like he doesn't want one. Based on leaks from his campaign, his team wasn't sure that he could control his anger while debating a woman.

As a thought experiment, how would they even work if they were headphones? Would they tell Kamala what to say? Trump’s rambling about immigrants eating cats or his post-birth abortion claims had nothing to do with anything Kamala said, so what were they suppose to do? Tell her to bait Trump more than she would?

I'm sure that, during her debate prep, she practiced throwing in a comment about crowd sizes. As a narcissist, he can't handle having his popularity questioned.

    In politics, size matters.

I saw an interview of Mary Trump after the debate. She said that comment was so devastating to Trump that he will never recover. It will haunt him to the end of his days. If true then I can't imagine that he will ever debate Kamala Harris again.

It seemed that for most of the debate Trump was just a whisker away from irrational rage taking over.

Yeah, apparently Mr. Trump has had enough of the Vice President and will not risk any more debates. Can't say I blame him. His always tenuous grasp on reality in general seems to be slipping a bit lately.

Mr Trump is beginning to look a bit pathetic, really. Confused, upset, delusional. His world is falling apart and his illusions are showing signs of wear. If he weren't always a narcissist and liar, I'd wonder about dementia. As it is, how could one tell?

Yes and he's surrounding himself with horrible folks like Laura Loomer that seems detached from reality herself.

He's surrounding himself with horrible folks like Laura Loomer who are detached enough from reality to mean it when they flatter him.

He's soothing himself with debate polls from Newsmax and right wing Twitter accounts. He'll never admit that the consensus among credible polls and focus groups is that he lost.

It might be to his advantage not to do the traditional third debate. The impact of Harris' win will wear off over the next several weeks; voters have short-term memories. Trump's issue is that he's doubling down on the accusation that Haitians are eating people's pets. He specifically mentioned Haitians at an Arizona rally. I think there are a few hundred thousand Haitian Americans in Florida, and they're more conservative than African Americans. He risks losing their support.

If Harris-Walz know what they're doing, they won't allow anyone to forget the debate.

    Not Fox:

Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer reported Thursday evening that the former president had lost his edge in two key battleground states: Georgia and North Carolina. The conservative news network now considers them to be “toss-up” races, alongside Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, and Wisconsin.

As a result, Harris had taken the lead in Fox’s Power Ranking predictions with 241 electoral votes to Trump’s 217. Hemmer noted that this was the first time Harris had pushed past Trump in their predictions.

I'm not sure "consensus" fully captures it. I have not seen nor heard of one real poll or focus group that shows him winning the debate. I think you're right, but that it's even more so.

I've never quite understood "winning" or "losing" a debate. I'm not sure what the terms mean. One wins or loses an election and debate performance might have an effect on the election's outcome but the debate itself isn't a basketball game.

I take your point, but at the same time, Fox News of all people say that North Carolina and Georgia are now in the tossup column, so if that's not Harris winning the debate in any meaningful sense then I don't know what is.

My problem with "winning the debate" issue is that in past elections winning the debate seemed to have little impact on the actual election.

Putting that statement into my own personal context is the fact that I feel the Harris Trump debate was extremely lopsided for the Harris win but, I'm extremely hesitant to let myself believe that Harris is winning the election. This election reminds me too much of the 2016 election. Here's an amusing little story about that. I went to bed immediately after watching the debate. I didn't even see one minute of post debate pundit analysis. All night I had dreams (nightmares?) that she didn't do as well in the debate as I thought.

She is winning but let's not jinx it.

There are so many polls out there; I already considered North Carolina and Georgia to be toss ups based on what I've seen on FiveThirtyEight. It would be news if there was a virtual tie in Florida or Texas.

Winning a debate may not make a difference, but appearing senile during a debate can. It's how Biden got pushed out of the race. I think Republicans are panicking because Trump appeared mentally unfit. Now, they're also panicking over Laura Loomer. What candidate in their right mind would attach themselves to a white nationalist?
