I hope, people don't get incited to violence during the elections times.

Wishful thinking? Yeah, may well be but on the other hand Trump and his MAGA movement keep losing. Over and over they keep losing. If Biden is so disliked why did the Red Wave fail to appear in 2020?

I meant 2022 but 2020 is true, too.

Good grief. Is there no end to Florida GOP stupidity? A state legislator introduced a bill to pay Donald Trump’s legal fees to the tune of $5 million out of public funds. Even DeSantis wouldn't go along this time and said he'd veto it if it reached his desk.

Now was this an attack of good governance on DeSantis' part? Or pique?

And getting up and trying again. Persistence of these MAGA folks is to be feared. For better or for worse, there is nothing on this earth like persistence. Vote - and if you're sincerely religious, pray. I believe that's the best the ordinary person can do for now.

If the legal system puts Trump away - I have no doubt that he'll still attempt to orchestrate bad things from his cell. And that his flock will revere him and do the things he encouraged, long after his death. They will be looking for a new "MAGA-Messiah" and one will probably present themself. Maybe more than one.

Nah, I guess it will be like in an inner monologue Paul Atreides had in "Dune". His followers will say he chose death to lead them as a spiritual being...

Perhaps. Still, he's gunning for it and Maga believes he will win against President Biden. I'm hearing the idea of President Biden dropping out of the race with Democrats supporting another candidate; leaving former President Trump's team with another political strategy. I'm more interested in stopping political junk mail and election texts & calls with nominees demonizing each other.

Not from any authoritative source. There is zero basis for that. Biden is running.

No. It creates a bit of speculation for those interested in baseless opinions.

No one is reporting that there is any indication (not rumors, not opinions) Biden might not run. There is simply no evidence that it is in question.

DeSantis and Ramaswamy were already sort of auditioning for that role by running this time.

Prophets, perhaps. Messiah? Neither has the goods. I'm hoping both have gone as far as they can - and now they have a long journey back. Their one chance is gone. (I hope). I don't want them re-emerging as Disciples (of Trump).

"Here's your one chance, Fancy, don't let me down." (Bobbie Gentry wrote it - she and Reba McEntire both did well with it.)

Joe Biden has a fairly secret superpower by the way. He likes campaigning and he is good at it. Remember, he beat Trump last time even though Biden was campaigning from his basement.

Also remember that Biden has never been popular. Ever. Yet he wins.

The charismatic goods that is. Neither Vivek nor Ron. I think the latter has some, but not nearly Messiah-level, and Vivek? Can't see where he has ANY at all. This is one time I'm really hoping to be right.

Ramaswamy reminds me of a used car dealer. Entertaining in a sort of horrifying fashion. Certainly no one I'd trust. About anything. Ever.

Ramaswamy I never heard of him before the debates.
DeSantis, I think he will have Florida for a wile and the publicity for Presidential bid maybe increased the #s of his supporters.
Possibly there were those who expected that he would be a more challenging candidate.
None of them were my candidates anyway.
Mike P was one of my candidates, I hoped he would get a better support but dropped early in the race.

So astonishing to realize that among all the candidates on both sides only one has a consistent history of winning. Joe Biden. The rest are losers, including Donald Trump.

Not a long while, as he's term limited. I guess he could try to unseat one of his own party's US senators, but I doubt that would be well received.

The next logical development would be the DeSantis puppet State Legislature waiving the term limit for DeSantis to allow him a third term. Somehow I don't think that will happen.
