    Maybe if they could waive their own term limits in the slipstream?

    They want turnover at the levels above them. Besides, when term limits passed via ballot initiative the vote was more than 3 to 1 in favor. There's a danger of riling up angry voters if you blatantly overturn their wishes.

    You'd think a constitutional amendment would require a vote of the people. It does here in New Mexico. Heck, in Canada the KING has to agree I think.

    You'd certainly think any change that was made via ballot initiative could be unmade by the same process. Ah well.
