Sorry, a patent does NOT mean that in anyway shape or form. You are a marketer and twisting things such as the patent makes us the real deal is totally false. It does not, it just shows that there is a patent you or your employers have for an unproven "service" that anyone could get for free. Like Rich said where are the 100's of satisfied customers? 10 years helping so many people get the degrees they could have never gotten without your help and yet no one here (or there) has ever heard of CCP? :pat: Unlikely.

Coastline, Columbia Southern, Charter Oak (to name a few) have no idea who you are, NONE. However, you have them listed on your site as learning partners. That IMPLIES you and they have an agreement thereby making you both partners in some form or another yes? But you are not - that is simply a lie so why say you are? You use legitimate school names to gain credibility with unsuspecting people that know no better. That is the usual M.O. with these "education services".

This is my last word on the subject (probably not). She is basing CCP "legitimacy" on one word that was thrown out there - Patent - as proof this is real. No one said CCP is a value, credible or the greatest thing since sliced bread business, you did. It's not, and no one here ever said it was and I doubt they ever will.

This scenario is nothing new, we've seen it before. Again, I am glad there is FINALLY information about this nonsense on the internet. :squint:

    here's some patents.

Target in a Bowl or Urinal to Attract the Attention of Urinating Human Males
    (U.S. Patent No. 4,044,405)

    Feces Scale
    (U.S. Patent No. 1,493,222)

    Force-Sensitive Sound-Playing Condom
    (U.S. Patent No. 5,163,447)

Protective Device for the Buttocks and Hips of a Person for Use in Skateboarding
    (U.S. Patent No. 4,151,613)

Anyone care to discuss "longevity" and "value" of these ideas instead?

This company sounds like CollegePlus and Verity Institute. Personally, I don't think either one of those companies are worth their cost. I see that CollegePlus is still disguising its fees. They used to have them listed on their website: around $3,000 for the first year and over $1,000 for each subsequent year. I couldn't even get them to tell me their fees over the phone. Verity Institute charges $6,660 for its distance learning program. DreamDegree is a similar service, but it's free. You just pay for their ACE-approved courses if you want to take them. They aren't required for the degree planning service, but I'm thinking this might be marketing in disguise. They will recommend degree programs to you from their list of schools. The founder of DreamDegree is in the for-profit college business.

I agree this type of service is a total waste of money. If one is going to be taking online classes they should at least have the wherewithal to research their degree path and potential school. But there will always be someone out there thinking that using these types of services as a shortcut is the way to go, if they only knew lol... :chairshot:

Interesting that Stephanie seems to have gone silent. But let's try to stay somewhat on track, and not bash them completely because I think it warrants further investigation.

I, for one, am genuinely intrigued enough by the detailed description in the patent to want to see how this works in action, and to get the answers to the questions I posted above.

Very interesting to me that when asked for specifics about their relationship with schools and other information, all the sudden, this organization, who was very gung-ho on defending its programs because they are patented... has since gone completely silent. I think that speaks volumes.

It does. What surprises me is that - with 25 years in the (basically marketing) business, as claimed on her site, Stephanie couldn't have done better here. Surprising indeed that at this late date, it still seems she needs to finish Marketing 101, as Kizmet remarked.

    Disappointing.

    Yes, very true.

In addition to what my schools said about them AND their failure to respond to ANYTHING you asked is exactly what I expected - and most others here I suspect.

I'll say it again, using that "service" would be a fool's game. don't do it.

So what did we learn here - don't let a marketing company and real estate agent do your degree planning :smashfreakB:

Well I've been in the Army for 100 years, so what's the difference? I'll tell you what is, that 25 year claim is most likely BS too. :nono:

I just heard back from one of my schools they have asked this website directly to be removed from their "prestigious" list of schools. Most probably don't know they are even on it. I am pretty sure Boston College has no idea they made the list lol...!

I am going to my local "UPS STORE" this morning to have my next degree plan drawn up anyone wanna come?

Just edited the thread title so that future searchers checking on this program will be able to find this thread.

I would like to make an editorial point. Ordinarily this whole thread would have been deleted or sent to the Mods forum as blatant advertising. Chip said "Let it stay," and as a result we all got a bit of an education. Good call Chip.

Taking the opportunity to use the word "blatant" several times in one post I'd like to point out that this is a blatant instance of sucking up to one's boss.

    :cool;
