You're only here to shill your company. Why not participate in the broader conversation about distance learning? You've posted your advertisement (a violation of the TOS - did you even bother to read it?) and now you're taking some heat, not answering questions, etc. You can get out of the pool anytime.

Why not offer the site owner or another administrator a free trial and let that person tell their thoughts?

From what I can gather, it appears the average poster here already has a degree (many have multiple degrees) and is already aware of the ins and outs of cost-saving and finding suitable programs. Most people who come here for help will just ask and get the same type of help you're offering, although I'll concede that the Big 3 is offered far too much here, but I digress...

Personally, if this service does what it says it does then I think it's fine. The problem is, I don't agree that it's worth what you're charging because anyone with a shred of ambition can find a suitable degree program for free, so paying up to a $500 fee is ludicrous. I also don't care for the site's use of the word "enroll". It may not be technically inappropriate, but I do get the feeling that it's being used to be intentionally misleading.

One other point: For $500 a person could go to Straighterline and take some actual courses that will count for credit at participating colleges and immediately apply it to their degree path. So yeah, I dunno, I just think that pricing model needs to be reconsidered. There are just too many better (and mostly free) options nowadays that I think your system may be a number of years too late to the game. I mean, I think this would've been incredible in 2003-2004-2005, but today it just comes across as an idea whose time has passed.

you know from what i can see of her linkedin summary i have a feeling she was the "Marketing Team" that was hired..
Hell, i'm just starting on getting my first batch of credits from ALEKS and this forum has been immensely helpful in learning my options.
Credibility aside. I wonder what they could patent and do differently from Learningcounts.org

This is a lot of consternation over what looks like a scam to sell fake degrees. And legitimate providers of ANYTHING don't reply in huge diatribes mainly designed to distract. They just don't.

Shills for mills, folks. Shills for mills.

I wouldn't go that far, Rich. Not Mill-meisters, at least. The only school Stephanie mentioned by name, in connection with the program is Colby College, which is a 100% legit RA school and one of a group of 10 or so (real) colleges in Kansas that I believe her org. did a marketing campaign for.

I looked into them earlier today and one I liked especially, for its name alone, was Dodge City Community College. That name conjures up great images!

Not that it really matters but Colby is a very nice little liberal arts college located in Waterville, Maine. (One of the waifs lives there.)

..and please don't take my previous comment to mean that I'm a fan of the "program." I'm not. I agree that it's too much money for stuff that's mostly available for free - stuff that's done daily in this and other distance-ed fora. All I'm saying is: I've seen no evidence of bogus schools, milled diplomas or credits.

"The only school Stephanie mentioned by name..." - I meant that Colby College was the only school Stephanie mentioned here in connection with the program. Jest clarifyin' - that's all.

Sorry you missed my posts - in response to your questions. I suck at the whole forum thing... I got assimilated by FB and figure when I click reply it goes under it... I will take the time and answer.

I am NOT shilling CCP - I am trying to clear up questions. Once we're good - I am more than happy to continue a conversation and contribute where you will respect my opinions and not burn me at the cross for your assuming I'm a scam.

    I love swimming.

As my job is marketing and I am a talking head... I have to ask why keep attacking the go-to-market plan it's not up for discusssion.

I have invited you to speak with ACTUAL institutions who are long-term users of the program including sending you an intro email to the CEO of a college consortia who is a long time user of this program.

Still haven't heard if you connected via email.

Again, why not get a LIVE demo or talk to someone who is a public, well-known figure in 1. Distance Ed and 2. helps keep costs down for college students and 3. long term experience with this program? He ls more to lose than me... so I think he would be more credible as a reference point. :)

I have posted the US Patent info here twice now. Sorry if you have missed it. It was submitted in 2001 and issued for 34 patents in 2004. US Patented Process No. 6,789,089 B2 “Automated Planning Process”

This process is designed to automatically take each earned achievement of the student, including both traditional and non-traditional educational credit at the college level, and translate the individual’s achievements into a degree equivalent for an institution and list all degree requirements that have been met and all degree requirements that have yet to be met.

WE DO NOT SELL DEGREES. No where in the website does it say that - we do not give ANYONE college credit. We are a DEGREE PLANNING service.

Wow - read our patent or scroll through the thread and get enlightened because for a bunch of smart dudes... you all are assuming things that are no where claimed or promoted.

We hold a US Patent issued in 2004 for 34 processes for “Automated Planning Process”
US Patented Process No. 6,789,089 B2 - LOOK IT UP.

This process is designed to automatically take each earned achievement of the student, including both traditional and non-traditional educational credit at the college level, and translate the individual’s achievements into a degree equivalent for an institution and list all degree requirements that have been met and all degree requirements that have yet to be met.

There is a long list on our site of schools - and there is a long list of schools who want to help students get their degree. We do not issue degrees or credits. I would be happy to set up a demo online to show you how it works and why it is worth what we offer.

We hold a US Patent issued in 2004 for 34 processes for “Automated Planning Process”
US Patented Process No. 6,789,089 B2 - and it takes all our partner colleges as part of the process to compare the students credits. It the matches up which schools will work for your degree AND will share all the costs associated, which credits they will accept and so on. We provide the PLAN and work with the student on a one-to-one basis along with the college they select to help them achieve their goals.

From the Patent: This process is designed to automatically take each earned achievement of the student, including both traditional and non-traditional educational credit at the college level, and translate the individual’s achievements into a degree equivalent for an institution and list all degree requirements that have been met and all degree requirements that have yet to be met.

Apologies for the typo - we have the list of schools who have given us permission to have them listed on our site - we work with hundreds of other ones who don't want to be listed... speaking out of school, but I think its because they don't want to encourage students to save money using a program like ours but for military enrollments there are more than the ones we have listed that accept work for credit.

If you go back to my post - you will see I never said Colby College... they don't have college credits for $135...

    7. Sure - go to Charter Oak and pay upwards of $400 a credit or go to one of the other schools that offer credits at a lesser rate like Colby Community College for $135 and a $35 resource fee for your DIGITAL book not $135!
