What are you intending to study, and at what level?

I would love to work on my Doctor of Ministry or Ph.D. in Religion...someday I plan to do mission work and teaching there in Kenya. If I am allowed to enroll I even plan to travel to the University.

I know you're not like that, but when you said it that way there was just no resisting!

Can I plead to the lesser charge of being obnoxious?

I requested some information yesterday and I got a response this morning. This is super fast response when compared to UNISA.

Anyway, I am going to submit my application for either the M.Ed. in Educational Psychology or the MA in Counselling Psychology. I am starting a career in juvenile justice with the state and I think either of these degrees could be beneficial. So here's my plan (which of course is subject to change):

Enroll at ANU in September (if accepted)
Continue my M.Sc. at Lamar which will be completed in March 2018
Apply to the 2nd cohort of Cal U online Doctor of Criminal Justice (Summer 2019 term)
Start Cal U D.C.J in July 2019 (if accepted)
Complete ANU M.Ed./MA in August 2019.

I either want to teach CJ at a community college or tier 2 university (I am not interested in continuous publications). Considering how tough it is to get into academia (which is no big deal), I would to continue to work in juvenile justice. Ultimately I would want to lead a state or non-profit juvenile justice organization.

Any thoughts on which master's I should apply for at ANU or any other thoughts you wish to share?

I like your approach to education. Have you thought about doing your doctorate from Europe? It may be free in some countries. Then you will be left with Australia, and South America.

Thank you! Free to international students? Know of any personally?

If diplomas and certificates count, only South America would be left. I have 2 diplomas from England and a certificate from Australia.

Doctorate level is free in almost all mainland western European countries even for foreigners. You can start first by looking at Germany where bachelors and masters are also free, then Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands

Is that so? Bachelors & Masters don't seem to be free in this German Distance Uni. https://www.fernuni-hagen.de/studium/studienorganisation/gebuehren/kosten.shtml

Cheap - Ja. (2400 Euro.) Free - Nein.

"In December 2016 it was announced the south-west state of Baden-Württemberg will be reintroducing tuition fees for non-EU students, starting from autumn 2017, and it’s possible other states will follow suit in the coming years."

One of the goals of the free tuition was converting foreign students into residents, so the program was not that altruistic , however by accepting 1m people in under one year I guess there in really no reason to continue free tuition to foreigners

b4cz28 have you seen any movement on your application process. I'm very curious about this.

ANU has been evasive when I am inquiring about the tuition fee for international. They are insisting I pay the application fee first.

Here's the an email from admissions:

"Kindly pay the application fees, when we will be issuing and admission letter we will provide a fees proforma in Dollars."

I don't think I want to pay my $35 to apply, only to find that the tuition fees are way more than the those quoted for Kenyans.

We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what's in it? No thanks.

Besides, the bigger issue is that a school that will jerk you around before you even apply is rather unlikely to stop doing it once you're a student.
