They do nowadays, Steve. I just checked. 40 Euros per credit-point to visiting students. 30 ECTS points make a full semester-load, so that's 1200 Euros per semester = 2400 a year. A bargain, or as they say in Estonia, "Soodsalt."

Even if it was one I perpetuated - though this one wasn't. One of mine could easily be next. It's happened before.

You sound surprised, Chris. What's especially shameful, here? I know of no religion where all the believers (or all the clerics, for that matter) would shrink from sharp practice (as I see this) or in some cases, outright dishonest practice, if so motivated. That's part of why I'm "religion-free." I choose to believe in God - but it's perfectly OK by me if others don't.

“Preaching is tax free. Very little to do with God, a lot to do with money” - Keith Richards
"I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians" - Mahatma Gandhi

I wasn't expecting this kind of deceptive practice from a Christian school, which I think should be held to a higher standard. This kind of practice is usually used to describe some for-profit schools (which is not always true).

Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.'

This is one of my favorite quotes.

Perhaps it should be --- but it clearly isn't. I don't think any institution is.

I wonder what Jesus would think of the Vatican Bank? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institute_for_the_Works_of_Religion

It had its ATMS temporarily closed down a while ago, due to non-compliance with international anti-money-laundering standards.

Baaah Baaaa go the sheep. We are of course unlike Christ. I think him being a God and all may have a bit to do with that. I'm a mortal, sinful man.

Paul the Apostle dealt with sin everyday. It was a struggle for life. See you guys have no idea what it means to be a Christian. You like to make assumptions and you don't understand the Bible. Sure, I bet you google a quote out of context and post it online. I am sick of people always acting as if I can be held to the standard of Jesus, we can't. I try but he was the only sin free man to every live. If you hate Christians so much why apply to a clearly Evangelical Christian University?

Oh please stop using fake quotes about Gandhi, it makes you look stupid.

Ok, so you could push this thread into a religious argument OR you could simply share the information you've received from the school regarding their tuition and fees. Your choice.

Maybe he didn't even apply. Oh, wait, he's a Christian. They don't lie!

Since you think I dislike Christians so much, let me let you in on a little secret. Assam Don Bosco University is a Salesians of Don Bosco (catholic) institution. I have also worked for a catholic and Jesuit university. Do I have a problem with Christians?! Absolutely not. I am on here to discuss education not religion. I found ANU's lack of transparency to be deceptive. Argument done!!

I wouldn’t be keen to pay the fee first, either, but extrapolating from your perception of an individual to a group is illogical and I doubt you’d want it done to you.

That wasn't my intention. Initially, I was just reporting on the application process and someone decided to blow it out of proportion.
