At the risk of embarassing myself, can you point out some examples? This has got me intrested.

In a general sense I can offer one answer. To me the easiest example is offered in our study of history. I am not a big history buff but I clearly understand that history books are written by the victors. So for years, generations, people were taught that the Pilgrims arrived in america and made friends with the "indians" and gradually spread west, "civilizing the land." A more skeptical inquiry might conclude that a combined European culture invaded a land mass and wrested it from the indigenous peoples through violence and war did so with the philosophy that "might makes right" and "pagans don't know what's best for them." In todays world we'd call it genocide. Unspeakable atrocities were committed against the indigenous people in what is now the USA but no one teaches that in school. A skeptical approach doesn't just accept "facts," it tries to move beyond, it tries to discover something that might more closely approximate the truth.

Personally if I were a New Yorker in Weiner's district I'd vote for him. Weiner has several good points... first, he's hard on crime (eg look at the bill regarding sex predators and the internet he helped pass). The when the going gets tough, Weiner will always rise to the occasion (such as the healthcare bill). Granted he can be accused of being an active part in our buldging deficits, but at least we have our exposures covered for the moment, however thinly. I can't help but thinking Weiner is simply being used as a tool to screw the Democrat party by the GOP and I hope he stands erect and weathers this political mud storm, never wavering in his duty or quivering at the site of lesser men. May he stand firm, the pride of his countrymen throbbing in his heart…

Okay I’ve had my junior high word fun for the day…

I have not been following this too closely but I think the thing that is most damning (from my point of view) is that this all began about one month after he got married. I'm glad that his wife didn't stand with him. If it was me I'd be talking to my MA posse (NorCal, Tiger, Truckie and Abner) about trying a little group therapy/intervention stuff with him.:twak::nutkick:

Come on...don't judge the guy. It's hard for congressmen. Seriously, I'm sure he's straight and narrow from now on.... One boner move and everyone's got a beef. Listen, he's a prick, but he obviously hangs out with nuts all day. He might be a borderline whack job, but at least he can beat off any future allegations....dang...I need to stop. I can't help it, his name is Weiner and he showed his weener and I just can't stop giggling. I feel like Austin Powers with the mole man...

Weiner, Weener, weener, weener....it's another word for...................................(mods please don't ban my inner 7th grader)

Damn!!!! Is it me, or is the Weiner rapidly suffering from hairloss? I know he always had receding temples, but the bad boys balding seems to be speeding up and spreading.

    Shazam!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Weiner has been in a lot of stress lately. Perhaps if Weiner shaves his head, he'll feel more relaxed. All that hair surrounding Weiner may get uncomfortable when the days are hot. Huma may actually like a bald Weiner. Who knows, she may even cut Weiner some slack for his transgressions.

At the rate he's going, he is going to look like a mohawked weiner.

And now, time for a classic:

Yahoo! Video Detail for Oscar Mayer "Wiener" Ad 1965 in COLOR (THE BEST CLASSIC AD IN THE USA)
