Whatever works, Bill. Your reading and research paid off. And you're up-front about the whole deal. Way to go. Sleep well. :)

So much worthless judgment. Let adults make their own decisions, and have the state keep its nose out of it. Simple, and a hell of a lot better than what we have now.

The part I liked best was when the hecklers accused Biden of lying about the GOP wanting to cut Medicare and Social Security. The President said contact the White House and we will send you copies of the statements. Unflappable. Perfect response.

Unfortunately congress is going to have to do something about Medicare and Social Security. That's where the bulk of the budget goes.

I don't like to see my State government promoting things that damage our own residents just to generate some non tax revenue.

Or they could examine the revenue side.

Indeed, and the best way to examine the revenue side is by demolishing barriers to young people who want to move to the U.S.

Not sure about "the best" way, but this seems to be a no-brainer and absolutely without alternative in long-ish term.
    I
have my livelihood pretty much depending on the inflow of international graduate students; I've also lived in Canada and am annoyed by many things and people there. US has many, many advantages, in terms of opportunity and even the climate. Yet if a young person asked for my advice on which country to consider for advanced study and ultimately immigration, I'd say to give the Loon Asylum a good look. Just in terms of much, much more favorable legal regime including the study permit, student and spouse work permits, post-graduate employment scheme, as well as Express Entry, Provincial Choice, and Loonistan Experience Class for immigration. Especially if you happen to be from India (in which case in US you'd be crippled by positively gigantic wait times - decades - due to the per-country limits on green cards).

And that's not even mentioning universal health coverage, generally better pension plan, and the new childcare subsidies. Even the Canucks figured out that robust immigration is the net gain for a country.

Yup. We should welcome young immigrant families! Good luck with that.
