    OK,

    - So the 'Find Schools' option isnt working

    - Neither is the search forum option, only bringing up a few results for even the most common search terms

    - What is the story with the 'Image' validation to search if we have not logged in?

If it aint broke, dont fix it.

You should ask for your money back.

The problem is that it was broken, and needed to be fixed. That's an ongoing project; otherwise we would have been offline for a significant amount of time.

Thanks for pointing this out. I thought we had taken care of the search functions; my guess is that they are probably still pointed to the old server.

I will ask Nate, our tech guru, to take care of this... Bruce is right, if we'd waited to make everything perfect it would have taken quite a while... but it's people letting us know when things are broken that helps to get them fixed. I'd just appreciate it if perhaps posters could take a slightly more positive tone about things :)

    Thanks

I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining (and I'm not demanding my tuition money back, because I actually like this place), but I've noticed that I haven't received any of those "so and so has replied to such and such thread [insert threadlink here] that you've subscribed to" sorts of emails since about January 18th or so. What happened?

Another thing (and, again, I'm not trying to be a complainer): when I hit [threadlink] in one of my saved degreeinfo emails, the link takes me to the degreeinfo main page and not the actual thread referenced. Can anyone explain?

Maybe instead of "registered member" you should list us all as "DegreeInfo 2.0 beta tester" ;)

But seriously, things work so much better than before that I'm delighted you all did the upgrade. Anyone remember when every other post would crash? It wasn't so long ago....

Chances are that vBulletin's search index has not been fully rebuilt after the upgrade. Try logging into the admin area and click
Maintenance > Update Counters > Rebuild Search Index

Different search functions... I was talking about degreefinder database. But yes, I actually did just rebuild the search index last night, so please check it out (see separate thread) and let me know what you find...

Ted, I suspect that the email functions might not be implemented correctly. I can take a look at that, too. The "go to thread" thing might have been fixed by the database rebuild I did, but if not, it is probably just pointing to the wrong URL and I will take a look at that as well.

Sorry for all the glitches... we are slowly working through them.
