My focus now is publishing; I’ve got one article I just submitted to http://www.iiis2009.org/wmsci/Website/AboutConfer.asp?vc=18 which I’ll find out about in January if they accept it for the conference, if not I’ll walk it around, it is a good article. I’m working on another research project concerning a case study of Green engineering processes and if they save money which is due in June.

Thanks. The DA is so interesting and was a chance to pursue something that I have a really great interest in. I learned a couple things along the way, first that working full time and being in a doctorial program was a lot of work, second that being in 2 was pretty crazy, so the DA got put on the back burner. I have only done the first class and put the program together (which I thought was actually pretty good). In a couple months, if I get some energy back, and my consulting business keeps bringing in money (economy anyone), and they’ll let me pick it back up where I left off, I’ll start down this road again. The program and people were top shelf, and since you actually talk to them on the phone for hours, it was such a great way to tackle the material.

Thanks, but VERY far from it! BUT, apparently I am capable of keeping a task list and dedicating time to work through it, which is the key, IMHO, to doing these online self-pace programs.

If anyone finds themselves struggling, I found a little bit of task organization in a spreadsheet, so you can see constant progress as you check stuff off, is a good way to keep it going. I put every assignment in and kept a rolling percentage, broken down into sections.

It will take a while for the process to get it out there, I FedEx’ed everything yesterday. In a month or so, you should be able to search on my name and it will come up. Other keywords were collaboration, technology, nonprofit, case study, and management. Or you can search on any of the words in the title (posted above).

Thanks for the update! Both Harrison Middleton University's www.chumsci.edu DA in Humanities & Social Sciences and their EdD emphasizing the History, Philosophy, & Politics of Education seem kike doctoral programs to lust after. But first I'll have to concentrate on that MA in Interdisciplinary Studies with dual concentration in History & Political Science at Western New Mexico University. Even then, it'll be a tough call as to which to pursue first: the PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences with concentration in History at the Union Institute & University, the PhD in Business Administration with concentration in Electronic Commerce at Northcentral University, or the DA in Humanities & Social Sciences or EdD in the History, Philosophy, & Politics of Education at Harrison Middleton University. I once upon a time tried two master's programs in history (the MA in Humanities with History emphasis at California State University Dominguez Hills and the MA in Military Studies with concentration in Civil War Studies at American Military University) simultaneously and washed out of both, so three doctorates at once would probably be a little bit too much. :D

Isn't the idea of being a 1/2 doctor kind of like being sort of pregnant or pre-engaged? You either are or your not. ;)

The idea of being 1/2 DR. was not my idea but rather that of TEKMAN, who created the Degreeinfo Doctoral Board thread mentioned hereinabove. I think TEKMAN's idea of being 1/2 DR. was really meant to convey the idea of being a doctoral student, but you're right, being a DR. is something that either you are or you're not.

I know the idea was TEKMAN's. I was just having a little fun.
