    Bill,

This is were it went terrible wrong:
"They showed up with their guns, bombs and zip-ties to restrain the hands of their intended kidnap victims."
Portion of people who came to DC a radical minority from what I'm reading and not all of them are conservatives, they are Trump supporters but not necessary conservatives, and some Antifa and God know who else.
I can't confirm but sources in the US intelligence community stated that 5 guests - Russians Operatives among those who stormed the capitol.
Majority of the people who came to protest were peaceful.
I can see how easily the calling to come to DC to "stop the steal" could have been misinterpreted.
But this was not a call to violence.

The road to Jan 6th ransacking of the Capitol by a mob began four years ago with the Russian theft of Democratic party emails. 2016 attack by Russians was a declaration of cyber-war that it was.
Continues till 2020 hacking our federal agencies.
Russia aims to undermine U.S. democracy for very long time.
Disinformation campaigns work in the short term to target enemies and in the long term to undermine the stability of social systems.
    • The short-term Russian goal was to fail Hillary in her Presidential bid in turn help Trump, whom the Kremlin viewed as a force for chaos and disruption in Washington.
    • The long-term goal was to create lasting mistrust among Americans in their own elections.
Restoring trust takes longer than demolishing it.
And I understand that finding new ways to for the news networks to be more objective and less partizan, so the alternate information systems that instigate events like the Capitol siege be less inflectional.

Its possible, I can't confirm any of it, but its not made up by me.

Earlier on Jan 9th, the Washington Post reported that one of those detained in a court in Washington D.C. asked for a translator from Russian.
TASS. Russian citizens are not among those detained or injured in the January 6 riots outside the US Congress, the Russian embassy in the US said in a statement on Friday.
Former deputy of a director of one of the US law agencies came as guest on live stream and told about the 5 Russians, and much more. A friend who likes the site Worldview situation room, by Brannon Howse emailed me this info. I have no way to confirm.

“If the reports are true,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said on the House floor Wednesday night, “some of the people who breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters. They were masquerading as Trump supporters and, in fact, were members of the violent terrorist group antifa.”
I think initial report came from Washington Times but they retracted that report later.

AP reviewed 120 people who were arrested etc, they didn't find any Antifa.
As AP is credible source this means I definitely can be wrong.
    And there is this image

Oh, well if someone made an image there's no way that could be BS manufactured after the fact.

In preparation of possibly violent protests surrounding the inauguration the head of the National Guard says at least 10,000 troops will be deployed in Washington, D.C., by Saturday, and an additional 5,000 could be requested from other states.
A number of regional police departments, as well as the National Guard, helped the Metropolitan Police Department establish a perimeter around the Capitol to help enforce an overnight curfew after Jan 6th.
Defense and administration officials said it was Vice President Mike Pence, who approved the order to deploy the D.C. National Guard after Jan 6th.

Always a possibility that its a BS image or maybe not? The image or flier supposedly was for day after Nov elections.
I didn't research, and ran out of time to comment after editing.
One can see China, Russia, Iran, NK and others enjoying what is happening in the US.
Almost like watching a boxing match with Dem's and GOP in the ring.
Sad we arrived at this juncture.

Yet, the audience wants a rematch, just like with Tyson people would fly to Vegas pay big bucks, or order pay per-view event only to see a fight lasting 20 sec.
They want more. They want "blood"
Realy bad we got in to this situation. I personally never expected this will go this far.
The rocket-man wants much more, he wants to put us on our knees. Not time to be divided.
Russians and Chicoms most likely pulling some strings as well.

Your point is well made. So maybe a few insignificant # of Antifa were there.
But former deputy director of FBI confirmed the 5 Russians arrested.
Maybe we will hear more about this if this is truth.

What might the Russians be doing there? To cause damage to our country no doubt. Seems clear that they were doing this by doing what Trump asked, which was to fight to keep in him in power. Of course they are not stuck in the web of lies. So they knew he wasn't going to stay in power so just fighting to cause chaos and destruction and make America look like a foolish third world country struggling to maintain democracy and avoid the power grab from a dictator wanna be.

More than that, while US is busy with infighting they already penetrated very sensitive federal agencies and stole valuable information.
Their end game is destroy us without MAD.
They want to survive, why would they need our power grid and blackout recovery plans?
Why would they brake in to other sensitive locations?
I speculate they are checking possibilities of EMP and other ways to attack us.
They knew that the establishment will fight Trump and he will be in their face and fight back. As I posted earlier this was short term goal.
Long term is afflicting max damage. They want sanctions lifted and much more.
Now add to this NK, China, Iran to name a few.
The problem is also that Dem's didn't want to work with Trump. A lot could have been accomplished if they cooperated.
May this be a lesson to the upcoming admin and united we stand.

I wonder what Pence is thinking. Either he's a brilliant long term strategist or he's an idiot it seems. He and Trump kiss and make up after Trump's incitement to sedition placed Pence's life in danger, or so Pence himself seemed to think. Brilliance could be that he doesn't want an early departure for Trump because if Trump leaves early, Pence will have to either pardon Trump or not. A lose-lose for Pence in the future. Idiocy would be that Trump somehow soft talked Pence back into blind obedience in return for some unknown future benefit from Trump.

So which is it, if indeed it's either one?
