A few months after 9/11 it was Carnival season in Dominica, and the biggest song of the year was The Taliban Song.

    What Osama say
    You have to do
    If you don't
He put de Taliban on you, I say!

    Osama say bend down low
    Osama say touch your toe

You get the idea. Like, there was a whole dance everyone was doing and everything.

At one point I was in town with this song blasting from some cafe somewhere, and I saw a group of American tourists off of the cruise ship for the day and the WTF?! looks on their faces were priceless. :D

Regarding the title of the thread, "Taliban leader says women will be stoned", if one replaced the word Taliban with almost anything else then, one would expect the thread to be about women getting high. I think that says far more about the Taliban that is does about anything else. :)

Yeah, Germany just legalized wacky tobaccy. I know what the title actually means, but every time I see it I think of Germany.

You're both late to the party, but I'm glad you're here. Like @Rich Douglas wrote earlier:
:) :) Bob Dylan's famous chorus: "Everybody must get stoned." (1966)

I can remember the owner and me skipping - to that refrain, around the floor of his coffee-house, after closing, in 1966. We were NOT high (at least, not on that particular occasion,) though I doubt any police officer would have believed us. The 1960s were strange times; they made me what I am - I think. :)
