Very cute. I expect to see the movie but I'll probably wait a few weeks until the galactic dust settles.

Indeed. I was 18 when the original premiered. Oh, my. Three hours to wait in line for the tickets, then another three to get in. Our gang (Debbie T., Debbie C., Connie M., Connie L., Bucky, and me) whiled the time away with a Monopoly board. (Hints: Buy the first roll from whomever wins it. Buy everything you land on. Bid on everything others don't buy. Buy any property from anyone who'll give it up. Get the Orange group early. Build each monopoly to 3 houses per property, then move on to the next property, only buying the 4th house and hotel once you've hit this break-even point on existing improvements. Know the probabilities and the rules.)

We are planning to catch the first matinee on Dec 24th with the kids and then take them to the family's favorite sushi place for lunch. It will be an early Christmas treat for them.

However, my oldest son (14) thinks that we are torturing him by making him wait almost a week to see it. #firstworldproblems

Every year on Christmas my ex and I bring everyone to see a movie, then hand off the kids from the one who had them Christmas Eve to the one who has them for the rest of Christmas itself. This year Star Wars is that movie, and yeah, the kids are chomping at the bit.
