On a side note, I believe this whole Kavanaugh debacle will have an energizing effect come time to vote in November. I believe it will be a strong wedge issuse that will not be swallowed easily by large swaths of dem women, a large voting bloc. I further believe this energizing effect will win the Dems the house and the senate! I like to think positive.

The funniest thing about me again's last few posts is that now he seems to be relying on the mainstream media for his information. Apparently he believes that their "fake news" is only fake when the info doesn't support his position. But I guess the msm is fine if they print something you like. To quote another member,

The whole thing is ridiculous. Democrats will do well in red state if vote yes. Democrats will do well in blue state if vote no. There are lots of smart people on DI so what i am saying is descriptive not judgmental. The process is tainted. It is laughable that current justices are coming out and saying that they want to keep the court above politics. Justices are appointed because of their politics. After watching the Canadian and USA Supreme Courts together over the same time, Canadian Supreme all the way for me.

 

Apparently Keyser is extremely sick, and Ford knows about it. She didn’t gives the woman a headsup that she was going to put her life in more turmoil.

The New York Post is one of the few major metropolitan dailies that hasn't joined the "resistance" and unlike their cross-town rival (the NYT) don't serve as a propaganda arm of the Democratic party.

I'm less sure what to make of the Daily Mail. But they do seem to be the most prominent UK newspaper that's at least a little bit in tune with the rising "populist" wave. At least they don't just reflexively denounce it with knee-jerks. I believe that they were one of the few major British media outlets that favored Brexit a couple of years ago.

So I wouldn't really categorize either one as "MSM". They are certainly media, but in this day and age they aren't exactly "mainstream".

The link to CNN was to a story in which CNN grudging admitted that Trump was succeeding. (Their tears were all over the story, you could sense the gnashing of teeth in the background.)

Judge Kavanaugh has just been confirmed by the Senate. He should take his seat on the Supreme Court on Tuesday, after the Columbus day holiday.

One interesting bit: Sen Murkowski, who had intended to vote 'no', chose instead not to vote, so that another Senator who had intended to vote 'yes' could attend his daughter's wedding.

 

Abner, that is not true because Judge Kavanaugh was voted to be the next justice on SCOTUS.

Abner, the people of the United States did not elect a pastor-in-chief, but instead elected a commander-in-chief. You may not like the instrument that God is using to clean-up this nation, but President Trump is that instrument!
