So Florida youngsters are now safe from understanding word definitions or anything to do with sex. It's good that people don't need to understand words or anything to do with sex. Oh wait, people do need to understand words as well as understand sex. It's good that I don't live in Florida.

Yes, I think you are exaggerating. I have read the law and it seems about protecting children and keeping parents rights entact. This might one school district taking an odd spin on what may turn out to be a good law. That one district in question has yet to ban any books, but has just choosen some for review. You may use Republication in the title of this thread, but I would really like to know the political affiliations of those in this one school district who might be taking the law out of context. The situation needs more investigation.

So you seem to think that one school district is doing this perhaps because they are evil Democrats or just stupid Democrats? That's an interesting take. Perhaps another possibility is that the the left wing media is just flat out lying? Now that one theory we can easily do a little research.

Here's how the MediaBiasFactCheck.com rates the source. quote:
    • Overall, we rate The Messenger Right-Center biased based on story selection and editorial perspectives that moderately favor the right. We also rate them as Mostly Factual in reporting rather than High due to the use of poor sources, sensationalized content, and one-sided reporting.
    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-messenger-bias-and-credibility/

Well The Messenger apparently isn't a lying left-wing media source. I'm sure there are lots of other conspiracy theories to investigate though.

Well, for starters, that county is in Florida's 1st, which is represented by Matt Gaetz, an interesting fellow that district seems to like.

It is difficult to identify firmly each member's affiliation. (The races are supposedly non-partisan) However, things can be inferred:

    • Mr Adams (from his campaign website): "Proven Conservative Principled Leadership!"
    • Mr Fetsko (from his campaign website): "Paul is a fiscal conservative"
    • Mr Williams: Hard to say. Lifetime educator. Everything on his website is about education. He did team with the first two guys to fire the school superintendent in a controversial move.
    • Ms Hightower: Ditto, but she voted against firing the superintendent
    • Mr Slayton: Ditto; voted against firing the superintendent
It's hard to find indicators of their political affiliations or even political views. I think the main indicator is their electoral success in a deeply Red district.

Admittedly I didn't watch much of the super long video. What she said and looking at the description of the movie coming out, this looks like it is about communist infiltration or something like that taking over the USA. In any case I didn't see any relation to this thread. I'm probably missing the point. Can you please explain? Thanks

I thought Agenda and Yuri Bezmenov mention this plan to destroy America from within.
The last few minutes of Agenda mention what was to come : Trans...... etc

Florida related education sex, mentioned earlier in posts.

    https://rumble.com/vv9i7c-agenda-grinding-america-down.html

This gives the big picture. ( is an independent follow up to Yuri Bezmenov’s presentations )

Even when filtering the fiction out, I think there is an interesting angle.

And I'm old enough to remember when the threat was the equally nefarious gay agenda.

Agenda: Grinding America Down. More fearmongering, Communist, Socialist and variegated conspiracy-crap and fingerpointing. Had enough. Blaming or shaming people based on sexual orientation or transgendering makes me sick. Isn't such action punishable, yet? It should be.

Leyna is really somebody, in the fashion world. They love and honour her. So do I. Recently, Sports Illustrated published a photo of all 13 trans- models who have graced their Swimwear pages. Leyna Bloom was, of course, among them.

Thank you for confirming my hinted at suspicion. I guess we're all doomed unless we buy into ridiculous fantasy unfounded conspiracy theories.

This raises a new question in my mind. Is it just my imagination but, it seems that the political right leaning folks are much more prone to believe things with little to no facts or evidence? Why is that?

Some things better left till children become adults. One wants to make a change, they can when they are of the legal age to make such decisions.

As for conspiracy theories, its case by case.
Sooe are fiction, and some are not.
    People should check the facts.
For example the Jihad movement in the West is a fact, the extend of Muslim Brotjerhood conspiring and executing it plans requires more then authorities surveillance but a concerned citizens involvement before its to late.

I also think that many on the conservative side see LGBT movement as corrupting the kids. One can agree or disagree. For some reason it appears the left gravitated to promote and at times it can be seen indoctrinate in the liberal establishements that they influence.

I really don't think you have much clue about real LGBT issues.

I have some experience with transgender kids. My oldest came out as gay when he was about 16 or 17. Later he realized or at least verbalized the fact that he was trans. So he was born female but has since become male. I now have a grandson that is trans. He's just 13. I note here that my grandson was born female but wants to be referred to as male. My first thought is that it is hard, stressful and worrisome for everyone involved. Your apparent idea that people would want to pretend to be trans or force anyone to be trans is really just braindead stupid. Sorry for the harsh tone but it really is just braindead stupid. My view is that my son had a much harder time with this than my grandson seems to be having. In large part because society is much more accepting now of transsexuals.

I don't know what you were trying to say with that last sentence but it appears likely to be another demonstration of your misunderstanding of the subject.

So do I, Bill, though not as much as you have There's one teenager in my extended, rather than immediate family. That person has total support of their family and my good wishes go with all concerned. I've mentioned my gay grandson once before. There has never been a problem - in three generations of his family - connected with his being gay. I was at his 20th birthday party a few weeks ago. Fun guy, fun time.

I agree with your "brain-dead stupid" comments. You're "tellin' it like it is."

My grandson, mentioned above, likes to do programming and to write - and he's very, very good at both. Same as his Dad, in both those respects. His grandpa (me) likes the exact same things. Not hard for three generations to get along..

Ain't heredity wunnerful? :) Old people can inherit smarts direct from their kids and grandkids!

I dunno. The political left believe a whole host of things with little to no facts or evidence. There used to be a clearer intellectual distinction between left and right, but these days it's more about which pile of BS is which.
