Maybe Marywood might start offering the program with a single 50-question ticky-box exam...like that Spanish MBA outfit. :)

"Streets of Managua." (or is it Laredo?)

"...So you paid the Outfit and now you're a Master.
Well I paid the Outfit and now I'm one too.
Let's pay the Outfit and we'll all be Masters
If you pay the Outfit, then you'll be one too." :)

Fair! Though the British conventions seem to make degrees work with fewer courses total but the courses are "bigger."

UMGC has an MS in Strategic Communications comprising 6 courses total. The courses are 6 credits each for a total 36 credits.

In the UC Berkeley MIDS program, they state that the program is 27 units with each course being 3 units, so 9 courses. As far as the Dartmouth program, you are correct that there is no information on credit hours.

The sheep HAVE to be shorn. Somebody's gotta do it. :)

Sheep are nice, fairly docile animals. I like countries where sheep outnumber people 5:1 - like New Zealand and Mongolia. If I knew of a University where sheep outnumbered people in that ratio - I'd probably want to go there. Maybe there's an Agricultural College in Australia for me, with a big sheep farm on campus. .... :)

... or maybe the American Southwest. Many Navajo people are very skilled with sheep. Let's try New Mexico.-- Oh yeah - here's New Mexico State University's Sheep Unit in Las Cruces NM. Hey, I know a guy from there... :)

Of course, you kill and eat them as well as shearing them.

Some do --- I haven't, for many years. I don't make a big thing over it. Maybe I would eat them again, if I were in Navajoland. Mutton stew is a staple there. When in Rome.... or Shiprock NM....or Tsetserleg, Mongolia... :)

But someone else would have to kill them. I could NOT do that.

Brown University offers a Master of Science (ScM) in Technology Leadership that just barely exceeds sanantone's one week on campus parameter for this thread. It's online with two campus residencies, each 4 days, Thursday to Sunday inclusive.

It looks like a great degree, plus the Ivy League name attached to it makes it always very appealing, but the price tag is crazy. They really know how to keep us, average online degree junkies, away, lol.

This comes up in frequently in my other life.

Students at these kinds of programs are very seldom self-funded. It's hard to get a decent ROI (in terms of salary increases) on such an expense. Instead, most are employer-sponsored. Why? Because an employer can see millions of dollars of business through the work of the right employee. $60K is a drop in the bucket if it puts a key employee in a position to generate greater business outcomes.

Also, employee in whom companies invest developmentally are more engaged and more likely to stay, despite gaining valuable knowledge, skills, and credentials. Companies often say that employees are the most important assets, but then turn around and treat them like expenses instead. But those who choose to invest instead of merely spending build better cultures and get better results.

Wow, Pricey! Hopefully there is no "eCornell" logo in the degree diploma. :D

I got my Doctorate from Abide University at a fraction of that price. No one will know the difference
