This is an interesting degree. Nice to see education departments taking hold of analytics and AI.

It is a $50,320 price tag compared to its sister's program, Master of Science Engineering in Artificial Intelligence for $36,560

Aside from the price tag, is the curriculum. The MSEd is going to focus on education. The MSE in AI is not going to focus on that.

So, one has to decide what they are passionate about and if it is worth the cost to them.

Brown University is now planning new online master's programs – subjects currently unspecified, some adapted from existing on-campus programs, some not – to diversify its revenue in the face of a budget deficit.

It seems college enrollment is declining; prestigious universities and colleges offer online programs with lighter admission requirements. Eventually, those higher academic institutions cannot compete, becoming defunct. For example, Amridge University has only 712 enrollments and $174,505 in endowment.

But it's been offering distance learning since 1996 and has been wholly online for a while, operating out of one building. I suspect Amridge's cost structure is low and its finances are sustainable.

Contrast Goddard which maintained its aging legacy campus in Vermont and additional locations in Washington state for short residencies, and Union which in addition to its Ohio headquarters maintained satellite offices in Florida and California and formerly a campus in Vermont.

I would say college enrollment is slightly declining. In 2010, there were 21 million enrolled between undergrad and grad programs. In 2022, there were 18.6 million enrolled between undergrad and grad programs. That is abo
I do not see a period in my lifetime, and I am 32, where prestigious universities/colleges become defunct unless it is due to poor financial stewardship.

Oh, I am talking about online-only universities (i.e.: Capella, Walden, Appollos, etc.) or liberal arts colleges being defunct. It is less likely top Universities and colleges are out of business any time soon.
