Did webometrics measure what it purported to measured? If it did then what is the problems? I do not think anyone should make a decision based on these metrics. However, if your school is ranked in the 7000s chances are you are not in a top school but that is no big deal. This ranking should only be use as a rule of thumb. There are other rankings for the top 500 schools with smaller confidence intervals. My lowest ranked alma mater is in the 5000s that seems quite fair. Here is my top 10 with flexible admission policy.

    1. Herriot Watt 452
    2. Open University 465
    3. Charles Strut ( semi open) 671
    4. Athabasca University (open) 944
    5. UNISA (open) 1221
    6. Central Queensland University 1277
    7. Indira Gandhi Open 2084
    8. Thompson Rivers (open) 2298
    9. Open university Malaysia 2741
    10. NCU (open) 6427

NCU just increased their tuition again. At the rate they do it, it is safe to assume that by the time you finish NCU's 3yr PhD in Business, for example, expect to pay upwards of 150% of tuition at the start of the program. I wonder what they'll do when their tuition rate reaches $200k for one degree. I know Walden will soon hit that mark, especially, considering that their most expensive doctorate is ranges from $73,795 - $106,555, presently. Don't be shocked if you start hearing of lobbying in Washington for government-provided student loan limits to be increased from the present 138K to something like $300k, so students can continue to borrow and then handover the cash to these schools.

While I can see your point, that is a bit of an exaggeration. I started in 2004 and it was $1,425 for a 3 credit class. In 2010 it was $1,800 which is a 26.4% increase in 6 years. I think some of the biggest jumps have been in the past 2-3 years.
