    Forum for Touro Ph.D. Students

This note reminds me of the forum for Touro Ph.D. Students:

Any of you TUI Ph.D. students (i.e., Business Administration, Education, or Health Sciences) who don't know about this forum, are welcome to join. We are about to start our 5th year as a group.

Still, I think membership in the group Gina started has value as well.

Nothing like a good thread hijack Dave.

Best of luck with your endeavours Dr. Gina.

    Hi Dave,

Is posting complementary information a "hijack" of Gina's thread?

Not in my opinion. Either way, though, it seemed to me that Dave C. might merely have meant that in good humor.

    Dave W,

As Steve suggests I was just being light-hearted. Us Brits need to learn that 200+ years and thousands of miles has changed a lot of things! I should probably also use smiley faces a bit more!

I do hate thread hijacks mind you, but your's was not one.

Plus the perpetual late night MBA study and 2-week old baby has meant the brain is functioning at rather less-than-optimum!

    Peace All,

    Dave C.

    Looking for a PhD scholarship

Please help me with information on finding a PhD scholarship for studies in counselling, child counselling or theology. I have tried ScholarshipPositions but it has not been a fruitful process. I plan to do my studies with SATS or any other University in South Africa.

    Thank you in advance

See, now THIS is an example of hijacking a thread.

Dr. Gina disappeared from DI. I wonder if she ever earned her doctorate.

Hi Florence - I'm afraid that it's unlikely that you'll find any scholarship opportunities that fit your situation but I'd encourage our members to chime in with any leads. (degree of difficulty: she lives in Namibia)

    Dear Florence,

OK, this is perhaps years too late but, anyway, check out my current institution, GCAS College Dublin (part of the Global Center for Advanced Studies (GCAS)):

If I remember correctly they have always had a policy of offering full financial aid to any qualified women or minority candidate from a developing country. In any case, I encourage you (or anyone else in a similar situation) to reach out to them to see if you qualify:
