Now that's not true. I was just there two weeks ago and it has windows. To be honest, I think it is the best looking building on the street. I went on a saturday 'cause I was in the area so I didn't get to go inside. but it is clearly marked "California Coast University" on the front and above the doors. It has a fresh coat of paint and it's own parking area behind the building. (We had to stop there so my wife could feed the baby.) I peeked into the lobby doors and it looks like a doctors office waitng area with a reception, but beyond that nothing could be seen as the curtains were drawn. Maybe I'll swing by there during a weekday as it is 60 minutes from where I live and scope out the inside as alumni.
    You guys are harsh here.

Using the definition of substandard degree for a degree mill it's probably a fair statement. CCU is not accredited because the degrees are substandard. They apparently accepted your apparently bogus AA degree as transfer credit? Wouldn't that add credence to the argument that they are substandard?

If you were really agreeing with the characterization of degree mill then, I apologize. I misunderstood.

P.S. Yes I guess it can sometimes get harsh.

    my lodge has windows too

My Masonic lodge also has very large windows. The curtains are drawn at certain times. I can't tell you more or they would have to kill you, or me. LoL :)
    All the best!

    Steve,

My criticism of your scholarship was indeed amateurish. When I have posted on this board in the past, I have attempted to only address subject matter, with which I am familiar. Additionally, in future posts, I will refrain from personal attack.

But TESC does accept AMU credits, which are ACE evaluated.

Steve is technically correct, as I understand this. TESC does accept the ACE recommendations. However, they do not consider these credits to be transfer credits from AMU.

"4. Would your college or university consider accepting graduate and undergraduate level transfer credit, which has been evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE), from American Military University?
Thomas Edison State College would accept the credit recommendations from the American Council on Education. However, we would not consider these transfer credits directly from American Military University.

    5. Would your college or university consider accepting transfer
credit and degrees from other degree granting institutions which are accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC)?
Thomas Edison State College only accepts credits in direct transfer from regionally accredited colleges. If DETC institutions have their course evaluated by ACE we would accept the ACE credit recommendation".

Steve is always correct, based on his premise (which is 'usually sound'). Observing him, he does seem to go off on his own, almost hoping someone will call him on his statements. He seems to be an intelligent person, who is content with the mental mastubation side of intelligence, which is fine I suppose. However, take heed in how you interpret the message. While it may be totally logical based on 'his' premise, if you are not careful, you may misinterpret it.

    The best,

    Tony
