FYI, Morehead State doesn't offer a specialization or concentration in accounting. Below is a response I received from their advisor.

"Student may take 12 elective hours in accounting, but we do not recognize specialty or options on the transcript nor diploma. The diploma reads Master of Business Administration."

It does look like a good school and you can get some accounting courses in, but not sure why they don't have concentration in accounting.

FYI, here is the response I got from Northcentral University.
"NCU does offer the MBA program in Financial Management, which
upon completion would meet the basis of admission for the CAGS in
Accounting. However, the MBA in Accounting was removed because lack of
    enrollments. "

Well, if you're looking for a good excuse for a trip to Hawaii for graduation, there's always Hawaii Pacific University's www.hpu.edu MA in Organizational Change. Sad to hear about the passing of the University of Hawaii's online MAcc program.

Sad to hear of the passing of NCU'S MBA in Advanced Accounting. Good to see, however, that their CAGS in Advanced Accounting and PhD/DBA in Advanced Accounting still exist.

Interesting that they would offer the coursework but not the concentration/specialization title.

agreed, it looks like a good school and noticed you can actually get around 15 units in accounting if you count electives and core.

Andrew Jackson University has a MBA with a FINANCE concentration, if that interests you. Plus you can use the Sponsored Tuition Program, which will save you $$$.

Well, after thinking about this for awhile, I decided to study for the GMAT and go to Sac State's MS Accountancy Program to get my graduate degree. I thought about doing MBA, but realized that I don't have accounting experience and planning on doing a career change. I could see if I already have an accounting background that an MBA would be great, but think doing MS Accounting will give me additional courses in accounting. Also, with Sac State being a local school more employers will recognized the school. In addition to this, I noticed a lot of instructors at my local community college have graduate degrees from Sac State, which is one of my other goals is to initially teach at a local community college.

What is Sac State's local reputation? I've been considering that exact same program for a second masters.

Yes, that's a nice program and one I've both recommended here on this board and considered for myself.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

It has a good reputation and a lot of the instructors in the local community colleges have graduate degrees from the school. Also, a co-worker's girlfriend works in one of the big 4 who is a CPA graduated from the school and does a lot of interviews on campus. Plus, it's only a 20 minute drive to attend graduation :D
