I didn't realize you were doing a DBA. Does the school check the accreditation box? I'm not familiar with it, so pardon my question.
According to previous posts maybe not. The Parent school of ESCGI does have this authority (Paris School of Management), but the prevailing comments at DI about ESCGI's own accreditation-or-equivalent for State-recognized Doctorates were not positive. The most encouraging was a "not sure" from TEKMAN. I'm also "not sure." I think ESCGI is a cut-price deal. You get the same (expensive) course from ESCGI as you do from its parent, Paris School of Management, but from a subsidiary school of lesser standing. Most of the professors at ESGCI are the same professor at Paris School of Business. I see. Question: How did you manage to confirm with the Ministry that ESGCI Doctorates are State-recognized. Even in at least half-decent French, I've NEVER had a reply to email enquiries. I just figured they didn't answer questions from people beyond their borders, because France-based DI posters always received prompt answers. What's the secret?
OK - even without a call to the ministry - I'm fairly convinced. But when a school cuts the program price by 2/3 and offers it through another (related) school, it gives pause to wonder HOW they do it and WHY? I'm still not sure of that, but... oh, why NOT? The cost of a DBA from a "maybe recognized" university isn't the tuition. It's the years of work and research, not to mention the opportunity cost (of not going elsewhere).

I about choked when I saw the price of that degree. Not to mention it all feels like spin with a fancy video. I mean, how would she define the difference between blue water territory that every other company wants to create vs luxury? Meanwhile, I'll take a hard pass.
Not abnormal for AACSB DBA programs to be mid to high six figures. Personally, I’m not sure I’d spend the money on it.
I guess accreditation isn't cheap. Schools spend thousands to maintain these accreditations. If you want to be a faculty, get a fully funded AACSB-accredited Ph.D. If you plan to stay corporate, what the heck do you need an AACSB-accredited DBA for? Get one at Liberty or elsewhere because I don't think having a DBA in the corporate world will matter!
