Yeah. Middle Georgia has a DSc for 17,000 Valdosta is just under 20 for the DPA Jacksonville State has a DSc for 22. Stands to reason their is a plain jane PhD in leadership or management or something general out there in the price range. Just got to find it.
I assume that that list primarily focused on RA options. If NA is workable, Acacia University has an Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership for only $10,000.
FireMedic is open to NA now, but I thought their goal was to become a professor. NA doctorates are still very limiting.
I am looking at RA programs, and am looking to become a full time professor. The question I posed was not just for myself. I'm sure other folks just want a cheap program, and NA could likely work for them.
The topic for this thread is to find the cheapest general PhD or the cheapest DBA. I believe there is another thread for the cheapest EdD. Too, your recommendation requires applicants be full time k-12 teachers.
The Marshall University EdD in Leadership Studies at 20k is a general doctorate and open to all career backgrounds: Many doctorates more specifically about education are also open to current or prospective higher educators, professionals engaging with educational precepts in other workplaces, etc.
Educational leadership programs rarely have a requirement that students be teachers. A K-12 or superintendent/principal EdD might have a teaching license requirement.
American College of Education and South College also have relatively low-priced EdDs oriented toward general leadership. University of Illinois has an online EdD in Education Policy, Organization and Leadership with concentration in Human Resource Development.
I think it’s been mentioned before, but the SSBM online DBA starts at €9,900 ($11K ish) and it’s ACBSP accredited. https://www.ssbm.ch/doctorate-dba-dissertation-track/
Not trying to be rude, but want to point out that Acacia is an EdD... not a PhD or DBA, as the thread indicates. Secondly Acacia requires that all EdD students be working teachers. So again, not something that would apply to this thread. There is a separate thread for the "cheapest EdD" To reiterate, the point of this thread is the cheapest accredited (RA or NA) online PhD or DBA in general management, leadership, or a similarly non-specific field.
